  1. Exactlly, Fox is slow. R's should punt on this season to get into the draft lottery next summer for a shot at Gavin; otherwise, they are spinning wheels, IMHO.

  2. For his Career ( six NHL seasons): Fox's Giveaways numbers are almost identical to his Takeaways.

So he gives the puck away as often as he gets Takeaways.

Secondly, NHL Network is talking about now, in August of 2025. Fox coming off a bad season will drop him in the rankings.

Third: No, he hasn't been a great defender. He has his moments of brilliant defensive plays, but loses a lot of battles and gets beat quite often.

This a ranking on defending. Fox hasn't been a good defender. His and the team's offensive production ( and Igor ) masked a lot of his defensive weaknesses.

  3. Let’s Face facts Fox was good won Norris in a Covid season his play has slipped he’s small not physical and has lost a step. We’ll see is he bounces back this season.

  4. Injuries have derailed Fox and his game. I love Fox, But he's just not the same player since the injuries. He's a shell of himself offensively… and he's not a good defensive defenseman. Another classic Rangers poke checking defenseman

  5. I feel he’s going to have a great year. Miller is gone, Fox will pick up. Don’t care where he’s ranked, I want Fox on my team.

  6. You’ve used the excuse and I see others commenting. Fox’s injuries have hampered his play and caused his recent decline. A strained knee at beginning of 2023-24 season where he missed 10 games. One shoulder injury in February 2025 where he missed 8 games? Or what was listed as a mild MCL strain in 2024 playoffs. The guy has not had a major surgery requiring, injury his whole career. But we want to use injury excuse? Wear and tear like everyone else who plays the sport. To me his decline is more because he hasn’t improved his skating and everyone knows he relies on head fakes.

  7. During hanks prime years nyr were hard-pressed to have a 60 pt player, let alone a defenseman. just shows how spoiled current fans are.
