the pit Martin 1966-67 Topps number 41 hockey card written on the back of the card pit was traded to Boston from Detroit for Parker McDonald and in the last half of the season was one of Boston’s best forwards a young aggressive playmaker he hopes to help lead Boston to a playoff spot this season a closer look on December 30th 1965 pit Martin was traded straight up for Parker McDonald after spending much of the start of 1965-66 in the AHL with the Pittsburgh Hornets Martin hit the ground running with the Bruins in one of his early games with Boston he had a four goal game and on February 16th 1966 took it to the team that traded him just a month and a half before the Boston Bruins were hosting the Detroit Red Wings at the Boston Garden on that night the two teams were at opposite ends of the spectrum with Detroit sitting at 256 and9 while the Bruins were battling the New York Rangers for the NHL basement with a record of 1330 and6 seeing his old teammates lit a fire under pit and he scored three goals while adding an assist on Ron Stewart’s game-winning goal in a 5-4 victory
