  1. Tbh for me it’s about the chemistry. Sure you have a team of superstars but it’s no use if the team has no chemistry. What I look for a cup winning team is a team that shows they can work together and can make plays without even talking about it. What I also look in a team is a good captain who can push their team too their limits and can motivate even during the lows. Just look at the Mcdavid and draisaitl combo the reason why they score is because they understand each other’s strengths. You can even look at Suzuki and caufeild they are not superstars elite at best just look at their stats for this season all because they understand each other. Look this is my opinion but for me for a team to be good they must have good chemistry a good captain who understands the situations and can lead others.

Am sorry if this is not clear and if you don’t understand because it’s pretty late for me and I am tiredšŸ˜…

    Edit
For the defensive core it’s the same. Good chemistry would be perfect a defensive core that understands where there defensive parter is so they get get in too the best position possible and again a captain who understands the the situation so they can cut in a steal the puck before anything dangerous. But if they get through for the goalie I have to say it’s best to have a minimum of a elite goalie nothing too special just someone who can hold down the fort in case of a mistake in the defence.

So yea does anyone else agree with me?

  2. One thing that’s scary for the Canucks though, is that they need Pettersson to be a superstar, which puts more pressure on him, who has already shown that mental struggles can greatly affect his play. Therefore, I feel like he could very easily crack under the pressure and not show up in the games that matter most.

Also, one note on the Preds’ run: Johansen got injured in the Conference Finals, so he didn’t play a single game in the Finals. I know he wasn’t a superstar, but I am convinced that if he’d been healthy we could have beat Pittsburgh.
