Actually, except for J.T. we haven't traded that impressively. We give away Fhil. Who was a injury risk. The rest are question marks. The Rangers would love Necas. But he's a second line player! We don't have the goods to get the guys you want. Beread is not enough, Martin has speed and size and smarts…he's wayyyy better than anyone we have on the bottom six. Teams want Perrault. You going to have to give to get, not just the guys you want to dump. We only got JT cause Vancouver was in a bind. A lot of bodies will move this year, most likely well before the deadline, but most are likely going to teams that they are willing to sign extensions with. Otherwise, they will hit the market. What we going to see is the Rangers slowly but surely dumping more bad contracts to be a player in free agency. 🏒
That proposed Lafreniere trade is FN awful!!!! No way!!! As for Necas, only a sign & trade would work & that package won't do it anyway. Rangers have no cap space so other contracts would need to go to make it work. Let's see what we have in Othmann, Perreault & Berard before wheeling & dealing. I have this strange psychotic feeling that Rangers are going to get McDavid. My brain is torturing me!!!!!!
Agree that most pending free agents will re-sign with their teams.
Trades are one thing; accountability is another. Coach Sullivan should make it clear from Day# 1 thatof you don't score and don't check…. you do sit.
