Noel Acciari’s a useful piece, but why’s he still here?

Good question

🖤💛🐧🏒😶
Im starting to think Dubas has no idea what he's doing.
Call Sullivan he will
Take him😂😂
Domoulin isn't available, he signed a contract weeks ago with L A
well lets see he blocks a ton of shots and he is a top hitter in the league on an extremely SOFT team ! guess who led the team in hits ??
The 4th line should probably be dewar- lizzotte- brazeau
Unfortunately, we still have hayes, accarri and hienen taking up spots.
I would expect a trade of Acciari and/or Heinen just before training camp or during training camp for some late round draft picks. Would be wonderful if you could trade one for a left handed d-man.
DK – The Pens have NINE bottom six players under contract: Novak, Lizotte, Heinen, Acciari, Hayes, Imama, Dewar, Tomasino and Brazaeu. Dubas needs to move more than just Acciari. I know Hayes isn't a good trade candidate, but ideally you move Acciari, Heinen and Hayes.
Acciari literally won the "Unsung Hero" award for the team last season. LOL I'm not saying moving him and using someone younger doesn't make sense, but there is more than "only Mike Sullivan likes this guy" than people realize.
At the current construction of the Penguins roster, I can't find a reason not to waive Acciari. There's more to hockey than points, but he's outproduced by Dewar, Heinen, Hayes, Lizotte, Brazeau and Puustinen. By a factor of two or three. Other names that would be ahead, include Eller, Beauvillier, DOC, Glass and Jesse bleeping Puljujärvi. Now I hear you think, but he's a great Penalty Killer! To which I'd say that's inconsistent. Related to that his relentless shot blocking… at the risk of sounding callous, I don't find that a primary attribute for a forward.
*all relative to games played, naturally
Thank you DK. Some trades would be nice, Get players that can fill their needs that are younger. On the left side. Great show DK
I could be wrong but I could see accari, Hayes and heinen being traded at some point prior to the season. This all changes if rust or Rakell are gone first.
How does one trade Acciari. If we dont want him id assume its the sentiment around the league as well
✌❤🤘
It's august 🤷♂️
The discussion of skating speed metrics makes me think of a YouTube channel called The Fat Electrician, and his discussion of the F-15 and the difference between being fast and being quick. You can gradually increase your speed until you reach your top speed and still be considered fast. Being quick is being fast, in a hurry.
That's why I like how the Pens development team is working to make the guys quicker…that acceleration is killer in an area as small as a hockey rink.
I have a better question, why is Ryan Graves still here?!?! 🙄😡
