We need a right handed dman who actually plays defense…. So let's keep the left handed dman who plays as if he is a LW without a defensive bone in his body & has 0 interest for this team… Awsome choice👍
Nice move to keep Byram, even if he walks in 2 years. 2 years is a long time for someone to decide if they want to sign a long-term deal to stay with the team or move on. Besides, it gives you a known entity…a D-man to keep paired with Dahlin that were +14 in goal differential last year when playing together vs. acquiring a Top-6 forward who isn't way older than Byram (Rust?) and who doesn't have a no-movement or no-trade clause that includes B-Lo so…who ya gonna get? The pickin's would be slim to none to get a player who makes a difference. Keeping Byram, even it is for only 2-years, was the best move GMKA could have made.

I am glad we have him…….he stays in Buffalo……
Another d-man that thinks he’s a winger… and doesn’t DEFEND. We have already have two of those… Power and Dahlin. Overrated trash.
