you agree yeah there’s no question what he’s done is really found a way to give them an identity and own it and now that he these it was his idea to play this way they’re kind of playing exactly how he’s always wanted them to do every single one in the lineup and Spetchnikov is a guy i mean he’s got eight goals so he is a goal scorer but uh yeah complete player it seems now yeah he really is and he’s an absolute beast in today’s NHL he is a power forward he sets the tone physically for how they want to play and I believe he’s going to be a problem for the Florida Panthers and you said it he’s got eight goals in 10 games he’s a plus six and he’s on a three-game goal streak and he has always been a playoff performer in 61 games 45 points playing on the top line with Aaho and Jarvis he’s a guy who drives a play can score on the power play chips in offensively not afraid to get to the dirty areas to score goals as well so he is going to be difficult to handle your dear friend Chris here and the men have been talking a little bit about that third line matchup and I know that’s a focus for you as well it’s going to be really interesting you think about what you think about the Florida Panthers and how well that third line has played with Marshant on it with Lundal and Listister Rin and in fact their three those three are in the top four of scoring four to four Panthers but you look at the other side of Carolina as well with Stall Martin and Kerier they’re they only have two goals but they play a sharp defensive game they have the right mindset they drive play kill penalties and play in all different situations going to be an interesting matchup to see those third lines go against each other fantastic as always jamal Mars and the big board brought to you by Bet 365 whatever three team trade taylor Hall is now a Carolina Hurricane and so Taylor gets an opportunity to go to a a team that’s obviously a welloiled machine obviously I was excited it had been a a tough first part of the year with uh with the Blackhawks we were you know pretty low in the standings and I didn’t love the uh the role that I had and and I felt that I had a lot more to give and and I you know I feel like I’ve proved that here and but coming here has has been uh it’s been great i was excited to to come and get started and and you know to to come and be in the spot that we’re in now i wasn’t thinking that far ahead but it’s it’s been a fun journey he’s pretty easy going so he knows when to when to kind of turn it on and and I’m not going to say activate dad mode or whatever but uh lay the hammer down a little bit but uh yeah he he’s awesome he he definitely helps with uh with kind of calming everybody down and he’s he’s someone who never seems too flustered so when you see him in these big moments kind of whatever seems like nothing’s going on that’s it’s fun it’s easy to watch and kind of replicate that it does rejuvenate you and after so many years in your career I think you you just want to win and you want to be on a good team that has guys that that want the same thing taylor Hall one time MVP of the NHL one time first pick overall he’s been a great out here in Carolina taylor always has been searching i think you know you say he’s done it all i think there’s one thing he hasn’t done and I think especially at later stages of your career I think your mindset changes a little bit and I think he’s come in and just said “Listen I’m I’m not the guy I want to be a guy that part of something special.” We brought him in thinking this is someone who might be a fit and we might want to keep and over time it became clear pretty quickly it was fitting exactly the way we hoped it would and so you know we started talking to his agent pretty early on about what a deal would look like and you know ultimately got to something that made sense for both sides they score Taylor Hall i just want to keep doing this you know year after year and um and I really think that if you look forward there’s a team here that that can do that i have a have a son coming in October so I wanted to know you know where we would be as a family and and have a chance to get settled and and do all that so there’s a lot that goes into it but at the end of the day um I love playing hockey here and and wanted to wanted to do that for a few more years now the lead pass for Hall moving in on Thompson he scores it is the motivator i don’t think he’s looking for anything else but that we’ve done a lot of things over the years but there’s still something out there that we know we’re everybody’s chasing and feel like he’s right in that group now where that’s his last thing that he needs to check off the list i think it’s fair to say that’s the ultimate goal and that’s why we’re here that’s that’s uh what everyone’s striving towards and and building towards all season long it’s been 15 years for me and and uh I haven’t been able to to make it this far so um just trying to able to recover you’re going to be able to rest most of the time your injuries are worse after 5 days off so it becomes an issue uh long term I think well for Florida I’m wondering they’re they get a lot of points from their defense in fact 27 points so see if that relentless for check pressure that you talked about Chris if Carolina can get on and make it hard for their D the guy Kyle showed
