LANE HUTSON 8 YEARS X 8.9 MILLION
HABS management are simply waiting for Price's albatross of a contract to expire next month in order to give them more wiggle room. Once it does, Hutson will be signed soon after IMO.
Gotta note that Brock Faber has a lot lower offense than Hutson so highly doubt $8.5M. Sanderson's extension was signed September 2023 (2023-24 cap was $83.5M). His contract with the current cap would be worth $9.15M and not $8.05M. Luke Hughes next contract could be the one that affects Hutson's next contract as he is currently RFA. Very low chance it would be less than $9.25M/season for Hutson unless Habs get lucky.
