I'm going to say it absolutely is not effortless although that's the way it looks. Some people might not believe what i'm saying but that's alright. I hit one 334 today, along with 3 other 300+ drives with a mid height draw. You are absolutely giving it 100% when your downswing gets to about 90 degrees pushing off the left leg and pulling the club through the ball with everything you have. Im not scratch or even close. My putting and chipping needs work but my drives and irons have great length with a very easy looking swing. Irons feel very smooth and easy. Driver feels like i'm ripping at it but looks smooth. He is giving it 100% and absolutely ripping at it.
Effortless is a stretch. The shaft is almost touching his right shoulder at the top. He could generate even more power if he stayed wider at the top, but he’d sacrifice some control. Crazy!
Something that I think is overlooked in his swing is how tight the club stays to his upper back. He generates so much speed coming out of that position and it almost acts like trebuchet
Everyone – even good teachers – are missing the point. Every elite golfer is different: size, strength, posture, stance, ball position, takeaway, grip, alignment..etc, etc. There is only ONE trait they all share: The lower body/torso MUST begin the transition before the upper body completes its travel to the "top." That's the only way to subdue the shoulders and arms and create the all-important "lag" and delayed hit. Just watch for yourself. Look at 50 pro golfers in slow motion. Every single one of them begin the through swing with their lower body before the arms complete their travel to the top. It's because the lower body is so much slower than the upper body. The right sequence subdues the shoulders and arms and creates a "whip" effect. That's how golfers who weigh 140 lbs can drive it 300 yards. Look at good baseball players in slow motion. Same principle.
Strong grip on fast swingers… well i been using loose grip( more power for movement..smart…) so what my club gets thrown 25yards and my ball speed is still 210mph.

Slow is smooth
Smooth is fast
Fast is deadly
Cameron Champ's swing is pretty smooth and hits the 190+ speed.
Dude…he's 30* closed and has to flip at the top. He hits it well because he's an athlete
Simple. Nothing to it.

How much is vertical important for speed?
Doesnt matter how many times i watch it. Won't make a difference if I cant record myself doing these lol
I only got a ton of worm burners.

Saw this dude coming. Russell Henley is gonna work n the Fed-X
It’s because he just lets his arms drop and then the ground pushes back against him.

ffs show the swing in normal speed at least once
It’s the lag from the top !
