Right now to the Mets and
Francisco Lindor hitless in his last five games. He is now
hitting a buck sixty nine in the second half of the season.
So Hannah is he still in your met circle of trust to be one of
the guys I think he has to be because you just kind of don’t have a
better option and I don’t mean that as a, you know, a knock-on
Lindor who has earned the title of probably the captain of this
team. And certainly a member of the circle of trust. I mean,
listen, this is a guy who’s still an
above-average offensive player on the Hole for the year, I
think you have to hope that he will turn it on when it
matters. We saw this last year. This is, you doesn’t have to be
great over a long stretch, he just has to be really good in a
couple of games when it matters down the stretch, he’s not there
for me right now. Hannah look, don’t get me wrong. Last
year was incredible for Francisco. Lindor was
probably one of the best seasons in the history of the
New York Mets. This is a guy who historically gets off to the
slow start and then all of a sudden rounds
in the form. Well, this sure it’s the opposite, he actually
got off Good start, probably the best start for two months
he’s ever had as a New York Met and then has just completely
faded. I have to wonder if injury is a factor. Is he 100% right? But the oh, PS is plummeting and it
plummets by the day, he’s a tremendous Talent. He’s a
tremendous leader, bottom line. I need a couple of
good weeks from wind or for him to be all the way back for this.
And you wonder now is accomplished as he is, if it’s
getting in his head you know, the error against the Brewers
and now as he continued struggle, you just wonder if now he’s
thinking too much. All right. Right. The Mets and their fans certainly interested in the
game. In Cincinnati. Let’s check in Phillies and Reds. Reds
entered the eighth with a one. Nothing lead after
scoring two runs to take the
lead though. Kyle schwarber jumps on
the festival sends it into the seats in.
Right? Field is en el leading 40 second of the Season that put
the Phillies up for one, that’s how it would end, as the
Phillies win their fourth in a row. They extend their lead to
the Mets as so that means now that the
Mets are six games behind Philly to ahead of the Reds for the
final wild-card spot. So on In 12, Carlos Mendoza’s Club was
45 and 24. Since June 13th, it is 18 and 31. Hannah is the
skipper. Still the guy in your circle of trust to turn this
around? I don’t know that he’s going to turn it around and
catch the Phillies. I think that that ship may have sailed
the Phillies look really really hot the Mets odds to win the division or now under
10%. They have plummeted since even just the trade deadline.
Not that the halfway point of the All-Star break the trade
deadline, they plummeted since that. So I don’t trust Carlos Mendoza necessarily Get
this team to win the division but he’s a
steady presence. The guys love him. We saw what he did last
year turning the team around. So I don’t think you want to
make any moves. Certainly at this point and yeah, they’ll be
the postseason. He turned it to me around last year when we were
in a way worse situation, I still think he has the right
leadership to go and get the Mets out of this funk to
your point. It’s not going to be more than likely catching the
Philadelphia Phillies. I do think the Mets have a moving them and I think
they’re going to play Better Baseball.

Nobody seems to want to address the situation, but if you go to a game and watch what goes on in the Mets dugout there absolutely, positively seems like there is some type of personality conflicts with the
players. There is a tendency to see them separate themselves into cliques and that tells me there is some kind of issue beneath all the lovey dovey facade we see on TV. it really should be looked at and
addressed. Just the fact of watching Lindor strut to the plate under "My Girl" whilst no other player rates such attention is enough to make you ask WHY?
We did not see this last year. Lindor looks lost at the plate and ive never seen him like that ever, even when he has struggled. Very concerned for him. Not sure whats going on wiht him. He looks completely frustrated out there.
"Mets are gonna play better baseball." I mean, they can't really play worse than they have over the last two weeks. 1-11 record is pretty hard to beat.
This team doesn't look like they are getting along vs. the teams that are winning or being consistent like the Phillies, Brewers, Mariners, Astros

Why the heck do we have Juan Soto for? All he's done is pad his stats since he got here. Where is the leadership? Where is the ability to carry this franchise to a championship? Why does he have the richest contract in baseball for?

No one. The Mets are cooked this season. They started off hot but were never as good as their record
What I have seen, it will not be Soto. He’s a nice player, he is not a leader. Alonso could get hot and carry the team for a short period. I would normally say Lindor, but he hasn’t shown anything in three months now that would lead me to believe he could carry anything. They obviously don’t have a starting pitcher who can help. I was begging at the trade deadline to bring in a big impact bat. I got Cedric Mullins, he is not a big impact bat. I called it a while ago, they aren’t making the playoffs this year.
There are no leaders.This team is fatally flawed with hitters that are too easy to pitch to and a subpar starting rotation. The Mets never do well when there are expectations with the exception of 1986. If they are expected to win they don't.

Sterns is getting ready to call up a starter next week. McLean and/or Sproat will inject some new energy onto the team. And September roster expansion will add another arm.
There's more than 50 games left in the season, an injury is bound to happen, the team is bound to have fresh new energy and heat up, hopefully hot enough to get to and through October
