This just took another INSANE turn…

Multiple Bruins trade reports continue to circulate and today we have a major update regarding Pavo Zaka and an Atlantic team who are certainly going to be in on breaking it down, going over the return and also going over what this trade in specific would mean for the Bruins heading into next season. Ladies and gentlemen, we have a lot to break down here regarding this trade as well as what this means for the Boston Bruins. Before we do jump into all this news that we do have here today though, be sure to hit the sub button if you haven’t already. We know that just over 60% of you guys watching right now have not done so already. And like I said, we got a lot of stuff to cover with all of these trade reports really starting to ramp back up now for the Boston Bruins. I’ll have it all here covering it for you guys. But we need to jump straight into this. I’m going to jump straight in to the trade itself being proposed by heavy.com from the Toronto Maple Leafs. Now going to this, it’s Pablo Zaka for East Cowan, Nick Robertson, and a 2027 fifthround pick. So, when we’re looking at this trade as a whole, this is a not just necessarily one-sided trade, but it certainly goes for one team getting better now, another team getting better in the future. And it fits both ways, honestly. You know, I’m looking at this without kind of considering value and what Zaka means to the team. If you’re looking for this Bruins team to get better over the next 5 years, you would do this trade. If you’re looking to win this season, you would keep Pablo Zaka. I think that’s really the bottom line for this. And when we’re going into this trade, and of course, we’re going to jump in to kind of make this make a bit more sense because as of right now, I look at this as really just Eastn Cowan for Pavaka due to Nick Robertson will not be having a slot on this team. A fifth round pick. Yeah, it’s a pretty good pick, but ultimately it’s not going to be any gamechanging right away style of uh change for this Bruins team. So, we’re looking at this as something that is going to be pretty immediate regarding Eastston Cowan and Pavlo Zaka. Now going into it as well, Eastston Cowan, there’s no doubt he’s a phenomenal player in the OHL with the London Knights. Over the past few years, he’s been putting up consistent points and this year a bit of a drop off on that side of things. 69 points in 46 games. But the year before we saw 96 in 54 and the team, the London Knights, you know, they did not get any worse. They were still a phenomenal team. Sam Dickinson was still up there getting 90 91 points, I believe, something along the lines of that. And going into it, Eastston Cowan now going to be taking a much bigger role next year and likely going to be on the Toronto Maple Leafs team if he does remain on this team. Now, my friends from Leafs Digest, be sure to go check out their side of this, have also posted a video kind of liking the idea and I think I’m going to go with the opposite here because obviously as much as East Count is a great player, he really has no fit right now for this Boston Bruins team. We have very uh similar players, not necessarily a point total, but Matt Poer, a guy who is around that same age, still a very good player, still very young, and also going to be, you know, hovering around that third line slot. This trade right now makes no sense for the Boston Bruins heading into it. Maybe in a year’s time, it absolutely does. But right now, as we kind of go back to the trade itself and considering it’s just Eastern Cowan technically for Pavlovaka that would make this team better right now or even over the next few seasons, we got to remember Pavaka is still only 28 years old and jumping into this as well going into his most recent points. You know, a down year this year, but the team is terrible. Let’s not forget that. And now going and having a second line pairing with what will be, it seems like at least Victor Arvdson and potentially Casey Middlestat if he does remain on this team. They’ve got a good set of players here to have a very talented offensive uh second line. If things do work out in the way they are as we see it right now. And of course, if Casey Milstat does get flipped, they will have someone and they will get someone to replace him on that line. They’re not just going to leave a slot open on the left side here. And it really just means that this line is still going to be a very consistent line no matter what. Because we know that Don Sweeney, as much as you can say, you know, he’s not doing a great job here, he’s not, you know, doing the ideal things. if he can switch out Casey Middlestat, who you know I like. I I will not deny that. I’m a very big fan of Casey Middlestad. If he can by some some odds, switch him out for someone who can produce even more offense, that would be a major win. And especially going to take a look at what Zak is offering right now at 4.75 for two more years. This is your three of four now going into this season. He’s going to have a lot of value coming into this contract, especially when the cap is going up over this season and next season. This contract will more look like a $3 million deal by the time it’s expiring next year. And whether the Bruins want to then go ahead and switch uh you know, flip him for someone even at a $3 million kind of net total contract, they would be able to do so. And especially with what they can kind of get from him this year going into next year and, you know, go from there. This Bruins team has the ability to be a good team. And especially like I said when you’re looking at that second line, it makes a lot of sense where this team can be a playoff team. Now there’s one blaring kind of different opinion in my mind by this trade that could make it go down. It could really make some sense for the Bruins and that is if they’re willing to tank this year and that’s something we’ve been kind of hovering around. I necessarily don’t like the idea. Of course I think this team has the capabilities of winning. You don’t want to waste some years. Some of your big players like David Posnock, Charlie Makavoy, and you know, I could name a lot of the entire team, but I’m not going to do so. And especially Jeremy Swayman as well, who you recently just signed, you cannot afford to waste a year from them. So whether or not you’re going for Gavin McKenna, you know, you’ve got to still play out your game. You cannot go and try to lose. And especially when you’re getting a guy like Eastston Cow and Nick Robertson, a fifth round pick, those, you know, will help down the line maybe, but right now, you know, it’ll only make the team worse and you’ll continue to get a little bit worse from there. of course, unless you do go ahead and get Gavin McKenna by some sense of the imagination. But going and taking a look at the picks that the Bruins have this year, they do have the Maple Leafs first round pick already and their own. So you see the pick value there, 14.4 for the Maple Leafs one and 31.29 for the Bruins one. And of course, the higher the pick value is, the better it is. So assuming that we could see this pick be somewhere in the top 10, which you know, it would be awesome to see another top 10 pick, but we don’t want to see a top 10 pick because we want this team to be good. So going into this year, I think we’re going to determine pretty early what the Bruins plans are. And we’re also going to kind of get an idea of what moves are being made here for the remainder of the offseason heading into the season, what their plan is going to be, how they’re going to work these things out, and really what mindset they’re going to take into the remainder of the season. Because you know, you can have the idea of, and this is what many people are kind of saying about these multiple trade reports between Casey Middlestat, Pavo Zaka, Jonas Corposalo, now even throwing John Beecher into this mix. You can see how they start off the season. They start good, keep them in. Of course, you see if you see them start playing well, wait until their value is high enough. If you don’t think you’re going to get enough value, trade them now. So, I think that all of these names that we’re seeing here now are at least going to be continuing on for the remainder of the offseason, whether or not we do see one. And I think the only trade that we would see would be Casey Middlestat in this instance in any sort of trade in the offseason. But going into it, I don’t see a Pavaka trade here in this offseason. whether it is going to be the Maple Leafs, whether it’s the Canadians, those are really the two teams that we have seen as, you know, one and two for Pavle Zaka. And in the Atlantic division, you know, you you can kind of get bit in the ass there. And we saw that with some other instances in the past, not necessarily with the Bruins, but going throughout the NHL history. And even though it goes to show that they’ve made a trade with Brandon Carlo getting him to Toronto, if they manage to get another prospect, it could be a pretty interesting idea to go for. And I’m curious to see what you guys think about this here in the comments below, especially when we’re on the idea of, you know, trying to get better, but also, you know, you’re going to have to make some sacrifices in this instance. I I still don’t know if I think Pavaka is a instance that you would make the trade to try and get better for the future, but rather than, you know, not losing out too much now. I still think he’s a very solid player and brings a lot to the table, especially if he can get back to not last season, but the pre the previous two seasons kind of point total and that production level. And we’re going to see a lot of positivity from this team next season. And I I have no doubt about that. Now, before we do finish this video off, I also want to just go ahead pull up um right here the other potential trade that we are seeing with the Maple Leafs. And of course, we’re seeing so much stuff right now. I don’t know what you can really trust. This one, not so much. The other one Heavy.com also has and does always have uh quite a few credible re uh reporters, resources, you know, articles. So, that’s one that was just up. I trust that a bit more than this one. But this is another one here. Pablo Zaker, Ben Danford, Nick Robertson, Cali Crow, a second and a third. And going into this, it could be a second uh two second rounders. This one to me is once again is a bit kind of crazy. You’re getting really no help currently on the roster for this upcoming season. You don’t get a slot to fill in for Pavlovaka. At the end of the day, you’re really getting two second round picks potentially. And that’s if Pavaka does get 60 points and it gets to the conference finals, becomes a second rounder. Now, this of course only is a projection, but something along the lines of this is something that would really help the Bruins more than going against Eastston Cowan in my opinion. And I’m curious to see what you guys think about that there in the comments below. But that is all I have in this video. If you did enjoy, give it a like. Hit the sub button as well. I’m signing out though. Thank you for watching. Hope you have a great day.

The Bruins have been flooded with trade reports featuring Pavel Zacha and there is no sign of slowing down with reports of the Toronto Maple Leafs being involved and Easton Cowan being in a proposed deal.

  1. Trade yes zacka 6.3 plays like gretzky skates scared like brazzeau big but not physical enough….trade him now khL is calling..

  2. Tanking makes people think loss in ticket sales i wouldn't pay to watch them lose fk sakes i may as well be a laffs fan lo😅😅😅😅 not

  3. As a Bruins fan, I'd make this trade. Cowan gives you an additional asset to set up a bigger trade when needed.

Plus, let's be honest the Bruins need two, maybe three seasons to reset and be a challenger again. If Cowan develops during that time, he is an even greater asset to the team or a greater trade asset to bring in what is missing.

This trade really is a no-brainer.

  4. No way I make this trade. Cowen is not NHL ready and is unproven. Zacha is a bona fide second line player that can kill penalties.

  5. Why can't the Bruins just not trade away literally every single good player on the team except for Swayman and Pasta? We first lost Ullmark, than fired one of the best coaches in the league 20 games into the season while he than took St. Louis to the playoffs, than went everyone with Coyle, Marchand, Brazo which I forgot how to spell, Carlo, and probably more that I can't think of. So we did all of that and now we trade Zacha!!! You mean one of the best and last good players remaining on the team!!! Bro I might need to stop paying money on TV so I can see them fall apart.
