I am extremely disappointed with both of you for investing so much time in establishing a channel yet failing to provide an in-depth analysis of the Toronto Maple Leafs. Your discussions lack the exploration of angles, topics, and player movements that would engage casual fans. Instead, it often feels as though we are merely listening to two middle-aged men having a casual chat about the team.
It is common knowledge that Morgan Rielly has a no-trade clause. However, if your channel were to facilitate a discussion on the pros and cons of buying out Morgan's contract, it could stimulate meaningful engagement with fans. Given that if this coming season Rielly's playing time decreased more than last season and he is still not on the first power play unit, the implications of retaining him this summer especially with a $7 million cap hit—must be considered. This situation restricts the team's ability to acquire necessary offensive and defensive reinforcements, potentially leading to first time in 9 years of missing playoff appearance. If that were to happen, would the fan base not hold General Manager ,Tree accountable for deciding to keep Morgan not buying him out & failing to recognize the decline in Morgan's performance, which is not merely a one-off occurrence?
This topic warrants serious discussion: when will fans ultimately agree on the necessity of a buyout? Will it take a missed playoff season and an inability to improve the roster having 7 million spend on Morgan ? Or Even a casual fans are beginning to recognize that Morgan's performance is extremely poor. Having Fans booing him whenever he touch the puck , at this stage is not going be good for Morgan or the team. Tree can’t be wrong for making a decision to keep him this off season he should be FIRE if he is wrong because Morgan 7.5 million per season is crucial for the team
I encourage you to delve deeper into these issues and present a more rigorous analysis of the team.
Scouring and even more so pro scouting is awful with the Leafs.
