I love Tony Hawk man…i met him in San Fran CA and he acted like he was just another person. So humble and incredibly kind. Saw him in a restaurant and didn't want to bother him eating but he could tell I kept looking his way and I said a quiet "Hi Tony" on the way to my table wth my Dad and he immediately said "How are you today?" then asked my Dad and I's name. He chatted with us for 3-5min and signed a napkin for me. I still have it over a decade later.
Ran in to Stefan Janoski on the subway, thought to myself βwhoβs this wannabe Stefanβ¦β, we got pushed in to the same subway car and when I looked downβ¦ he was wearing unreleased Stefan Janoskis! It was him π. I tried to sneak a photo and he caught me π, I died a little from embarrassment. Point is Iβd think βthat looks like Tonyβ.. then look at what heβs wearing to verify
I wished more skaters were inspired by the ogs like Tony and Rodney Mullen and bam and shit like British skaters are all up their own asses and skaters in general they have a terrible music taste as well I call posers these guys are the real deal and these guys have fantastic music tastes it's a big part of their background, they're extremely humble and kind and there's no bullshit straight to the point willing to help others and are super kind Im not a skater I wish I could've been but these guys are amazing beyond belief everyone should aspire to be like these people

Congrats, youβre the 2000th interviewer to ask the same question. I swear they hire people to do the bare minimum.
That background removing filter is so much more distracting than whatever is behind him

Something about being embedded within skate culture made his already Californian accent even more Californian
