I always said this. Just rating pure hockey “hands”, I don’t any player had better hands and ability than Mario. I think his name would be in top 3-5 players all time as far as skill.

Lemieux legitimately might be the most physically gifted and naturally talented player of all time. That's not to take away from his work ethic or anything, but when he was healthy, there was legitimately no one ever truly like him. He just had a way of making the game look so easy that no other player can do.
In professional organizations, an interaction like this between the team captain who also happens to be a legend and a coach is plausible.
When the owner tells ya: " We're done here." The coach better agree. Just sayin. Nothin about Aura.

I played against him once as a kid both teams were from different regiions of Montreal. It xas a exhibition game. We thought we had a pretty good little team until we played Mario. They beat us 7-0 and he scored all 7 goals, it was so easy for him he wasn't even trying. He could have scored 20 goals.
The greatest — played right after cancer therapy and back surgery and still couldn't be stopped.
Don’t remember what former player said Mario’s idea of training camp was no cheese on his hamburger.
