Perault needs seasoning in the AHL, he might make the line up at mid season but he is no good to even be up to play 8 minutes a game
Lafreniere needs to score 40 goals and have 50 assists for the Rangers to step up this year.
I agree they have to look at Zib on Miller's wing due to past success but I disagree with the assertion Mika can't play center any more. He'd been regarded as a defensively responsible center his whole career except last season. If he's D was gone last year cause he lost a step then his whole game is toast as the powerful strides were as much a part of his game as the wicked shot. I think it's all in his head and he's coming this year with a better attitude and 30 goal season. We'll see have a good night guys

I think it's worth having Mika play the wing with Mills to start the season. Sully has to coach him up to get his defense going in a positive direction bc he gets lost when he plays the wing. As a center, he was very reliable. I think it's a matter of positioning and effort. He had his career lowest number of explosive strides last season. There were many occasions where he didn't back check effectively and cover his man. In my opinion, psychologically speaking, all of the noise got to Mika and it showed in his stats. He couldn't hit the net if his life depended on it the first half of the season. I believe he still has the ability to be a 70-80+ point player. For the money they are paying him, he has to show up every game and be mentally/physically ready to go. Same thing with Laffy. There's no reason he should be going on a 20 game goal scoring drought. If these guys take a page out of Miller's book, they'll be much better this season. Lastly, make Trocheck or Miller the Captain. You need an established leader in the room. LGR! 👏🏼

I remember when Sullivan was assistant coach of the Rangers and in 2013 when the Rangers released Tortorella from his head coaching job i was hoping the job was given to him then maybe the Rangers would have won several more cups under his leadership.
