Okay, here’s who’s actually been the best NHL player since 2000. Let’s get to it. So, we’re starting things off with Yamir Yoger. It was a crime how Jerome McIlla didn’t win the heart in 2002. And can’t forget about Peter Forsber in ‘ 03, who came back from a major injury. And also Martan St. Louis from the Stanley Cup champion Tampa Bay Lightning in ’04. Cindy Crosby may be the best ever in our generation. And of course, Alex Ovetchkin, the greatest goal scorer of all time. Filling in other gaps, you got the Sadines in both 2010 and in 2011, Afghani Malcin literally carried the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2012, Carrie Price in 2015, Patty Kane in 2016, and of course in 2017, the Conor McDavid takeover begins, also his teammate Leon Dryidle in 2020. Then I’m giving Nikita Cucherov 2019 and last year, Matthews in 2022, and Nathan McKinnon for 2024.

Both Caps and Pens should go back to those jerseys. Crosby has been the best player of this era but if you look at year by year in their first year Ovie was better slightly and won the Calder because of that.
12-13, yes you could also give it to Sid, 36games 15+41 but Ovie is right choice, 48games 32+24.
Sid had less games but same points but its that goal difference what makes it for Ovie.
Just saying the cup in 2004 should have went to the Calgary Flames we were robbed out of a goal
