Jake Evans, 17, of Aledo Texas. is accused of shooting and killing his mother, 48-year-old Jami Evans, and his 15-year-old sister, Mallory, at the family’s upscale home near Aledo, about 20 miles west of Fort Worth.
I always come back to this 911 call, ever since I heard it 9 odd years ago. I have a lot of sympathy for Jake, he seemed genuinely remorseful and sorry about what he did, and apparently his family have forgiven him and pleaded for a lighter sentence. He's lucky in that regard to have such a forgiving family.
One of the scariest thing about watching this is he just seemed so genuinely sweet and concerned but you can also hear how much I hate he has for himself and just generally everything around him no doubt in my mind if he had enough done this I believe he would have been a serial killer
The people who are saying they feel sorry for him – I’m sorry, but you are all literally insane. I don’t think you’d feel sorry for him if you or your loved one were on the other end of that gun. He saw his mom suffering and continued to shoot her in the head. And the coward is too scared to shoot himself. He took a mother and sister away from his siblings, father and grandparents – let that sink in I’m all for compassion, but for the victims not the killer!
This was a premeditated murder. He even said he wasn’t angry with them – he’s a psychopath – like he said, “I guess I’m pretty evil” yes you are He said “I’m going to be messed up” omg he’s worried about himself!!! Again, the words of a true psychopath for those of you who feel sorry for him
Great operator. Calm tone, kept him talking, didn't come over as judgemental and got plenty of useful information out of him. She asked all the right questions.
"Verbally rude" That's the whole human race bruh ya can't kill anyone but that's like the worst excuse everyone does that sometimes,so his family must've been not human,
I've listened to this before and had the same initial thought; what an amazing dispatcher. But now that I'm seeing this years later, I'm wondering why did it take the cops so long to get there?
I'd say he was taking some substances, previously to this and probably when he did it, he doesn't seem in this world. Disassociate disorder is real, still not ok he did this, also mental needs to be addressed early. Well done to the dispatcher.
God bless that dispatcher. This kid did something absolutely terrible and she still handled him with so much care and avoided escalating the situation. Gotta be tough to stay that levelheaded. Prayers to the deceased and the family. I hope the guy is getting the help he needs.
"You don't sound like a violent person. No you don't". She is amazing. She kept things under control, calmed him down, and successfully avoided any further harms.
The operator is calm because she needs to ensure this dude is calm, because she is sending officers to him, which if he is not calm, could potentially put those officers' lives at risk, especially since this dude just killed two people and still has the murder weapon in close proximity.
it makes me sad thinking of how differently evan’s life could’ve turned out if he had met someone like this dispatcher before everything happened. Maybe he just needed someone to talk to or someone he felt like he could go to during hard times. That’s why they always say to be kind you never know what someone could be going through. Unfortunately it was too late for evan

Trust me………technology is causing human depravity!
If the 911 operator would have been a black woman this could have went downhill quick.
What a selfish bastard
If only he could have spoken to this woman or someone like her before he did what he did! 😭😭
His Sister was HOT
What a little punk.

Hmmm..
Alternate title: Jake Evans does a slow cartwheel
“We’re here to help people, and we’re gonna help you.” Great job Dispatcher!!
I love how unsurprised she is when she says it. It's as if it's the most normal thing ever to hear

If this guy is deemed mentaly incapable and sick what would this world say about me after only taking one good look at me ?😢😢😢

I need that woman in my life
This should be a training video for police officers
I can’t imagine how awful the family of the victims feel… it’s so inappropriate to make videos like this..
"I dont want any visitors" i love he knew his ass was jail bound.

This is Jake Evans, a Texas teen that killed his family in 2012. The whole story is super heartbreaking.
I don’t understand this case… he said he hated the feeling of killing Simone
How long does it take to get the police there? Jeeze louis.
Anyone else here because of Bonecarver’s song
Hilarious 😂
I went to school with this kid, Jake Evans, Aledo Texas. Seemed like a totally normal kid.

She was lying talking about she there to help no she not, she tryna get all the info she can for evidence, none of them are trying to help
If there is such a thing as an operator/dispatch Award ceremony, this woman would take home all the categories. Just, wow. 👏
Wow took cops long time to get to resident
He killed and realised that it wasn't as he hoped.
Is he psychopathic?

Phone operator was exceptional. Great job. Smh wow RIP to the mom & sister.

Another young XY murderer!
Very well done to the American government for allowing people to own guns🙄
Wow, she was so good.

Unglaublich.😥
The response time is unreal!
