Edvinsson: I expect continued growth. I'd like to see fewer "rookie" mistakes, more defensive responsibility, and 5-10 more points. I really want him and Seider to be the top pair. It sucks Stevie couldn't get us help on D. I'd also like to see him take pp2 from Gustafson.
Compher: yeesh….. that was bad. Well, on the bright side, I don't think he could produce less. I'm hoping he's our 13th forward.
Talbot: He had a really good start to the season last year. Then, driven into the ground. If Gibson and Talbot are both at their best, we have a solid tandem. I don't know if "solid" is good enough with this defense in front of them. I know there wasn't much available, but I can't believe there was NOTHING Yzerman could do to upgrade the top 6 forward and top 4 D.
Hopefully Cossa can have some starts in the NHL. That way, neither Gibson or Talbot overwork themselves.

Y's failure of not getting a proven d-man will hurt any defense we have and any goal tending we have. Hopefully Coach Todd can help with growth in all our d-men. We have 4 older, albeit slower, on the back end and that doesnot help anybody. LGRW

Real question, Who would be mad if the Wings embraced the tank for McKenna? Personally, I wouldnt be. Tanking for a shot at dude would be way better than making the playoffs to get rekt in the first round.
The coaching staff has to play Edvinsson and Seider as a the top line pair.
The incompetence of the front office is borderline criminal.
