  1. Hey Jason! You seem like your doing well. Keep kicking it's ass like Rinaldo-Crombeen/Cote-Roy/Emery-Holtby! It being the slow days for hockey I'm going to shoot you a bunch of thoughts/questions
First- don't use Chat GPT esp to try and gauge the Flyers, I trust your gut, Meltzers gut, Toch and Dannys btwn the lines statements, and about everyone I know personally or not who I think know their stuff on hockey. None of them think what gpt says…. your generation love it and take it way to seriously, it's very, very flawed.
2- No way the flyers regress to that GPT low point total next season BARRING myriad season ending injuries to like TK, Mich, Sandy, Ers, Foerster, Yorkie. The division (outside the Canes) has either taken steps back, or haven't improved on paper as much as the flyers (again not inc. CAR).
3-Would you prefer to have Sandy & Yorkie together logging heavy mins and providing the best top pair; or split them up, take the minutes load off both, and search for some new looks. This is going to sound crazy but I could see Seeler working well with Sandy on the top pair. Seeler has been very steady game after game imo, he offers physicality and defensive reliability which would allow Sandy to activate more. Thoughts? Its too bad Risto is out AGAIN with how he was playing the best in his career in my eyes for long stretches last year. On the topic of lines: Every joe blow wants TK-Zeg-Mich. I think you've talked about this before, but I strongly object, you need a cool headed center btwn them, who plays all zones, and has the size to ensure that line doesn't get bullied by a big and fast checking line. Coots is the man for the job, provided health and that form we saw late last season. He's shown he'll protect Mich vs a tough dance partner in Nurse. He's got a 200ft game, and he'll hold the line accountable outside the OZ. That or make a second line of TK-Zegras-Tipper to try to unlock Tipper. My ideal lines are
    1-TK-Coots-Mich
2A-Zegras-Luchanko-Tipper (I would prefer Zegras to focus on play making as that's our biggest need on O
2B-Bump(w/ assumption Foerster is out to start)-Cates-Brink
    4-Grebenkin (Deslo on grudge/dirty games)-Dvorak-Hathaway
How would you construct at this time?

5 (and last)- you seem to be wayy down on Tipper and Andrae; maybe you know something I don't, but I expect these kinda guys to have ups and downs early on. I think Tippers game when he's playing like a 30+ goal guy was reigned in way to much by Torts, and his confidence/TOI took the hit. Andrae has shown enough for me to give him a much longer leash that you seem to be willing. I have pretty high confidence in them, Tippett especially. Am I misreading your talks on them, or are you seeing this as a become the player you can be or move on season?

  2. Hi Jason, that's exactly how it looks…and it can continue like this. QH would be great!!! I'm pretty sure that in 2-3 years we'll have a great team!! Great job Jason and stay strong! 🏒🏒

  3. I guess I am drinking the water too much here. 84.5 points Draftkings is begging you to bet the under but let’s look at this team. When you actually look at the roster and I’m expecting vladar to be a stable goalie. I’m expecting 90 points and a possible playoff berth

  4. Torts was the old dad who always yelled and told them what they do wrong. Thats always in there head now so mayne thus new coach tocc will have them be something more productive cant wait to see

  5. Great show this morning Jason. It's great to hear that you are doing well and feeling much better and your wife had a negative test!🙏I also thought about the possible Quinn Hughes move and just how important he would be to the organization on defense. That could quite possibly be their best move going forward and I think they will also try to sign a star forward or at least a very good center next year. Good defense always helps the goaltending a tonne. I remember speaking with a couple of ex Flyers players back in the day, late 80's and early to mid 90's and word around the league was that Philadelphia and Detroit were the 2 most preferred organizations to want to play because of the sense of 'family' by the ownership and all of the other 'perks' a player looks for when moving to a new city. Philly always did whatever they could to accommodate their players and coaches and their success had a lot to do with that in those days. I'm sure they are still a preferred team to want to play for and move your family there and I think that with a little more of Axles 'patience' we will see that this organization is 'still' a preferred destination especially with the staff they have right now. I'm excited for this team and when those days of winning return in the near future we will once again all be reminded why this team is the greatest team in the league for many many reasons!! God bless Jason! 🙂🙏

  6. I love Quinn Hughes and if the Flyers could get him I would be all in. However we have to think about the size of the flyers' blue line if we were to obtain Hughes. I would think two of York, Andrae and Drysdale would have to be moved, which I would be fine with. Hughes is a huge upgrade.

  7. Torts moved this organization to a rebuild and we should all be grateful for that. When Torts arrived Fletcher was doubling down and trying to make the playoffs. Torts saw that this organization was a mess in many areas, not jut on the ice and changed the narrative. I don't think we have Jones and Briere here without the influence from Torts. With that said, his antics were piling up and I 100% agree with this firing. Players were stagnating under Torts, the captain was shunned almost immediately after being named captain, and players complained about lack of communication. It was time. I feel bad for Torts, after all these years he just refuses to change when it comes to how he deals with players. He talks a good game in his pressers, but his actions demonstrated he didn't believe what he preached.

  8. I wanted to comment on the bit about ChatGPT’s projection. Ai is still miles away from replacing human intelligence especially on the free models. I asked a paid model work provides me a similar question and it projected as follows:
    Conservative: 70 points
    Normal: 80 points
    Optimistic: 90 points

  9. The front office needs to petition GARY BUTTFACE….BETTMAN to reinstate CARTER HART and resign him long term and solve the net minder dilemma. Tortarella held this team back the last 2 years it's time to start winning again!

  10. Thanks for another great show, Jay. I’ve thought of trading for Quinn Hughes too once we hired Tocc. Q. Hughes’ contract doesn’t expire until the end of the 26-27 season though, but he will be a UFA. So although we might have to wait an additional season, QH has a lot of leverage the closer he gets to UFA status. Maybe he’ll force his way here with some familiar faces in Tocc & Zegras, if NJD cannot work out a deal. Keep up the great work.

  11. Yes totally agree 70 points would be disappointing for sure, I expect them to make the post season but don't feel they have enough to get passed the first round, but the goaltending needs to be better.

  12. I have been thinking about that Quinn Hughes thing since we hired Tocc. I would LOVE to have Quinn Hughes on the flyers, we can 100% fix the center problem elsewhere.

  13. It’s Thomas Harley and eichel next year that’s the realistic targets. This isn’t candy land Hughes and mcdavid ain’t a thing

  14. Sending positive thoughts your way, Jason. Kick cancers azz. Love your shows, great content.

  15. Just FYI, tech is moving so fast that Chat GPT is kind of yesterday’s AI. It’s all about Morey’s Grok now 😂

Ask Grok the question, I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised

  16. It is well known that Quinn Hughes wants to play with his brothers… but the chances of getting 3 of those guys on the same team seems very low.
So let's consider…… if you are a competitor and a dawg like Quinn Hughes, and you can't play WITH your brothers….. what's the next best thing?

    Playing against them and winning.

  17. Sorry bud but Quinn Hughes is a TERRIBLE idea. We dont need a points defenseman, we need to move on from Drysdale, York, Andrae, and grab 5 Niko Mikkolas, or Sergachevs, or anyone 6'3"+ that can physically stop 99% of forwards. 5 Hague's or Bishels…. if we had Sanheim Mikkola, Bonk, Hague, Bishel, Sergachev, we'd have some of the best goaltending numbers in the league. And round that out with Spencer Gill and Carter Amico… That is the kind of Defense Philly NEEDS.
