Draft Day: Drew Doughty

Doughty was drafted in the first round, 2nd overall by the Los Angeles Kings at the 2008 NHL Entry Draft in Ottawa, Ontario.

I apologize for the audio and video desynchronization. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to find a way to resolve it yet.

  1. I Played Soccer With Drew Here In London. He Was One Of The Best Keepers In Ontario. We Played Together On London Benfica For 5 Years Until He Got Picked By Guelph Storm.

  2. Based on McGuire's reaction to Toronto getting Schenn, you made a mistake taking Doughty, Schenn is the greatest player to ever play the game! How could you screw up like that? 🙂

  3. @furball411 vatanen wont make the NHL… i like the kings defence a 100 x more. Im not even a kings fan.

  4. @furball411 Im sorry to tell you this but just the pairing of Drew Doughty and Jack Johnson trumps that whole defense, Not to mention the unerrated thomas hickey and colt Teubert. Also the up and coming Alec Martinez, please, Anaheims defence is looking good but i still rather have the kings defense. Who are all the experts btw?

  5. @furball411 Both Ducks and Kings are both good teams. I'm not sure what's up with all the smack talking. However I would have to say the Kings future looks more promising than Ducks. But Ducks won a cup a few years ago, and you can't take that away from them.

  6. Didn't he tell Dean Lombardi that he was going to win him the Stanley Cup onstage after he was selected?
