  1. If he's willing to play in Montreal, I think trading for Pavel Zacha makes a lot of sense for the Canadiens. I like his size, his experience, his skill set, and the fact that he has two years left on his deal.

  2. Your volume is fairly low. Dach does not instill any confidence as a center, let alone a winger. Mittelstadt is fairly lackluster on the faceoff dot, but more concerned on his two way play. Considering how often he has been traded, would not be worth the risk.

  3. Both these players are guys we have to NOT trade for. Please no. We want improvement and there is none there

  4. I think Zacha would be a good addition, we need a decent 2C player for a couple of seasons until either Hage develops or we find a more premium center. For Zacha I could see us giving 1 of many scenarios. The first being Matheson and a 4th, I like Matheson but we do not have proper spot to utilze him. Should he get us a need and helps the other team is unfortunately a reality that works both ways. If Boston is more interested in propects or picks than we could package 2 of Struble, Roy. Kapanen, Beck or Mesar and a 2nd. We have to realize that we need to give up good stuff to get the good stuff we need and I do not think with these players all coming from areas we already have strength will seriously impact our long term needs.

  5. Okay, let's nip this banter in the bud. Bruins players don't usually even consider playing for Montreal. Too much history, too much bad blood. Lucic took considerably less money to NOT have to play for the Habs when he left Boston. Plus, the front offices of each team intensely dislike each other, making trade possibilities less likely than finding a fat guy at a salad bar.

  6. Start with Dach and see what happens. Unless you can get McTavish – which isn't going to happen.(too expensive)

  7. They don’t have to be a perfect fit either trade for a real center now and lose Hage or Reinbacher or go get a stop gap guy like Zacha for a few years until Hage is ready

  8. Volume sounds fine for me…
Zacha sounds pretty good depending on trade cost…
Everything depends on trade cost … I don't think we are at desperation mode just yet … I kinda like that Dach been staying low key amongst all these rumors, I hope he's working out and working on faceoffs… Offensively , we might see best opportunity to see what he can do if it ends up being demidov and Laine as wingers … Got size … Has shown flashes of offensive skills

  9. zacha had a below 50 pts season being the center and on first pp with a top 5 talent in david pastrnak on his wing who had ovef 100pts. hes NOT a good offensive player…never has , never will be. hes a 3rd line player.
