  1. Like your classement but mesar not honorable mention they dont play him on ahl team xhekaj and davidson deserve respect

  2. I would really love it if Mesar could find his footing in the AHL. Last year he started the season like a champ but got hurt. This year is a crucial year for him, I have a feeling he will be dominant. I like his style of play and he is an underdog, so I am rooting for him.

  3. Id have fowler ahead of hage, engstrom ahead of roy and maybe zharovsky too, kapanen above beck.
    Demi
    Reinbacher
    Fowler
    Hage
    Kapanen
    Beck
    Engstrom
    Zharovsky
    Dobes
    Florian xhekaj

  4. These are my personal opinions based on my gut. FTR, I wish all of these guys would succeed. I have no personal biases towards any players on your list. I am one of the few that am not sold on Fowler. And I'm not saying that he's not going to be good. He might become a starter in the NHL and I'd be happy for him. He's won at every level but I haven't personally seen anything at the AHL level that sets him apart from Dobes. But that's fine. He's still young and even if he's at the low end of my prospect pool it doesn't mean the Habs aren't going to give him every opportunity to succeed.

I kind of feel the same about Roy and Kapanen. I'm not by any means saying they aren't NHL material. And they are both young but they seem to be top 6 guys on their respective teams and I'm just not sure there will be any place for them in the top 6 any time soon. Again, not bad players but also didn't stand out much when called up. At this point I wouldn't be surprised if Farrell doesn't get a call up first next season if he starts the season like he ended the last season. He was on fire and looked great through the playoffs too.

I really like Mooney. He skates like Denis Savard. Very creative too. The Habs have to be careful of not walking into the trap of having too many small guys on the team but Mooney might be Gallagher's replacement. A little guy with heart. So if they can win with Caufield and Gallagher, they can win with Caufield and Mooney.

The only other prospect I really like that you left out was Florian Xhekaj. This guy was great last season in Laval. He was not only a big body giving big hits and fighting but he was one of their best goal scorers despite not getting much if any PP time. Florian and Beck looked great playing together and I look forward to see what those 2 guys do next season if they play in Montreal on the bottom 6.

  5. I'd have Florian XHekaj in that top 10, his rookie AHL season was amazing, had similar numbers to JoshWawa while on a line with more of a defense first kind of role and less Ice time per game. I'd also have 2 names ahead of Pickford and Paupanekis in the honorable mentions : Aatos Koivu who just proved at the WJSS his season battling with mono does not reflect his worth as a 2 way center with a level of defensive responsibility already you practically can't teach (needs to work real hard on his skating speed, alright, but that's pretty much it), the other is Quentin Miller as what he pulled off coming off of such a serious injury in the BCHL & BCHL PO was absolutely nuts, made an almost forgetable team look like top contenders.

  6. Paupanekis Thorpe and Xhejki above Roy! This is Roy’s 3rd year in the A if he doesn’t breakout this year he’s a career AHL’er or he’s off to Europe

  7. Thanks for this thoughtful list.

Roy might be a bit questionable for disappointing, but for his potential, he deserves to be number 7.

I’d add Tyler Thorpe And Florian Xhekaj to the honorable mentions.

    Excellent video 💯!!!
