These particular set of infractions are intended to cause harm by "Marchand." Along with the initial infraction, the intent to cause bodily harm with poking his stick under the goalie's mask is obvious with visual facts.

I believe after looking at many views, listening to their comments, and the teams involved, that Marchand should be penalized with the following:: – 22 Game Suspension, without pay; – Warning: Next major incident will result in an "Entire Season" Suspension, without pay. – Anger Management Program; Must Complete Program before he can play in the league.
So you said 19 total games to be suspended. Totally reasonable. The NHL said only 6 GAMES. Not at all reasonable. I like you better as the player safety official.
I was at that game and I’m not condoning but the Penguins goalie Jared slashed Marchand in the first period real good and got away with it.. and just before this incident the goalie slashed another bruin going for the puck in the opposite corner where Marchand was. Probably got his blood boiling.He loves to Retaliate
I live near Boston been a Boston bruins fan all my life and Brad marchand is one of the best players in the league but I've had enough of his pureile crap trade him so that we can get a younger asset that we can employ to better our team in the future he's a piece of garbage .

I’m a Bruins fan from way back (Bobby Orr era) and even I must admit what Marchand did was really stupid. Just the punch should have landed him 6 games…..with the intentional stick to the face, I wouldn’t blame the league for 10 or more games. He was lucky. Such a talented player to do such dumb things.
If the NHL is only going to suspend him for six games, they should all be against the Penguins. If he is traded, the suspension follows him. If he retires, the opposing coach gets to pick who he wants to serve the suspension (to include the goalie). All game suspensions roll over each year. Each successive suspension has an increased multiplier. So, since this was his 8th suspension, and the suspension was for six games, 6×8=48 games suspended. Some players will figure it out, right Kadri, and learn how to win, while others (Marchand and Wilson come to mind) will ensure their teams miss the playoffs.
The thing that really jumped out at me about all this is how nobody on the Penguins stepped in and drilled Marchand. Wtf? Are they afraid that little punk or something? I couldn’t believe the lack of anybody coming to the goalie’s aid. The Penguins should be ashamed of themselves.
Seems like a couple of seasons wouldn't be enough. He's by far the dirtiest piece of shit in the league, which in itself is impressive given that the league also contains people like Tom Wilson.
