  1. Spot on about Laine having great talent but often puts in minimal effort. Reminds me of Juan Soto of the Mets. Waste of talent.

  2. I agree. I believe that Laine and Dach will arrive at training camp in game shape physically, and mentally, both ready to show their value.

  3. My TOT are…Absomolutilicious Mr. Junkie. Hr totamatically made a huge differencio when he returned in Dec, rescued the Habs from the Underworld. And can you image what that might have been like if he didn't hafta recover from that ridiculouoso injury? (I don't think you can blame Pare as he clearly did not know how to play hockey well enough to be anything other than an inanimate hazard; I mean why is he skating forward at that point? But you can blame the Toronto Make Beliefs for putting that unqualified puke in the game to begin with.)

  4. Yes, Laine needs to feel that he belongs and not only his teammates are warmly welcoming him but Montreal fans do cheer him so much that he might feel emotional. Yes, he needs it.

  5. Hey man I’m sure you get this a lot but your accent sounds almost fully Irish hahaha. It says you’re from Newfoundland. Does everyone talk like that?

  6. Laine was playing on a wonky knee which takes away from his shot. If he gets off to a good start and gets rolling he will make the Habs an elite PP team. This is OK in its own right but it adds protection for their small forwards. Foul them it will cost you a goal. Very significant IMO.

  7. I hope he gets a good season with Canadiens this year. Like you said, he has the talent but he has been kinda off his game since the "good times" in Winnipeg. I would like for him to get few good seasons without injuries in before he gets "too old". I dont see him dragging his career any longer than he feels like its enjoyable to him.

  8. If Laine keeps playing how he played last season he’s gonna be worth maybe 7 mil. Any worse and he’ll get a 4-6 mil contract. 8,7 for him is absolutely insane. He’s good, but not that good

  9. Don't underestimate Patty. I have seen him four seasons with the Jets. The Habs haven't seen his full potential yet. The guy has a lot left in the tank and can easily score 40+ goals per season, if healthy. In Winnipeg all eyes were on him, in Montreal he got a bit under the radar which might be another plus for him.

  10. Dont want to get too pettybutin actual fact, it was Nick Suzuki who was the most responsible for leading the Habs back to the playoffs. Nick was on fire after 4 Narions by putting the team on his back & scoring an incredible 37 points in his last 26 games. Fans like to talk about Hutson's fancy moves or Laine in the PP or Demidov's amazing skill but as Cole Caufield says: 'In our locker room, we all know Nick is the guy. He brings it every night. He always drags us into the fight. He's our leader and we follow him

  11. 100% Patrick was the catalyst that got the Habs moving in 2024…teams didn’t figure out how to defend Patrick on the PP until 15 goals in, and the Habs well underway to that 8th place finish.

  12. There's a real argument to be made about Laine having the worst linemates to play with out of all the +9m players in the entire NHL.
