Hockey Night Panel On Scary Injury To John Tavares
The Hockey Night panel looks at the John Tavares injury after a collision with Corey Perry on the ice, and how this impacts the game between the Maple Leafs and Canadiens.
These guys are frauds they want to make sure everybody knows that the game isn’t too violent per the NHL. The players thought it was intentional because of Perry’s reputation- just ask Ryan Ellis of the Nashville Predators or Ryan Johanson who was speared in game 3 playoffs by Perry when he was with the Ducks. Perry and Wilson get what they deserve when it comes to butt whippins

1:52 – didn’t see this angle in other videos where it shows Perry the whole way. It shows he was looking up ice the whole time, not at Tavares. Totally unintentional. Crazy that it just had to be Corey Perry who was involved because if it was anyone else, people wouldn’t be so suspicious.

Admitted Leafs fan – so I'm sure there's some bias….but am I the only one seeing a knee by Chiarot? Looks like he basically whiffed trying to hit him high and then gets his leg into John's left leg. This was the reason for the whole thing and Chiarot doesn't even get a penalty out of it? Intentional leg on leg is 5 and a game isn't it?
Perry claimed in a interview that he jumped but the video shown from behind left leg knee making contact with John Tavares head and the right skate on the ice. Perry made no effort to avoid making contact with John Tavares. In my opinion this was intent to injure Perry should be suspended.

Am I the only person who noticed that Perry didn't throw a punch? Instead he allowed Foligno to do what he felt he had to.
It was not intentional, but it is playoff hockey. You injure the captain and you pay the price.

There was clearly no malisciousness or intent to harm in that hit. Hope Tavares is ok, couldn't imagine how Perry felt.
