The Washington Capitals are seeing a surge in their prospect pipeline with a mix of high-end skill and redemption stories. Right wing Graeme Clarke brings proven AHL scoring and leadership to Hershey, while playmaking center Patrick Thomas enters the pro ranks after leading the OHL in assists with 104 points. Both players are expected to play key roles with the Bears this fall.
Meanwhile, defenseman Cam Allen’s comeback season has turned heads as he prepares for his AHL debut following a personal and professional turnaround. And perhaps most exciting of all, 19-year-old right wing Ilya Protas lit up the OHL with 124 points, earning comparisons to his older brother Aliaksei while carving out his own NHL path. The future in D.C. is looking increasingly bright.

Good Morning Dan , and too everyone listening. Thanks for the Show on these Young Guys down on Farm. Appreciate it. Love your Show.
We have 3 or 4 potential NHL forwards and only 1 or 2 slots available. What I would like to see is all of them get 5 or so games playing on the big club doing pure energy play then back to AHL for confidence and leadership roles. They will be replaced by another player doing the same thing for the NHL club. I think this would make the 3rd line to be feared. At the end we get players with 20+ games at NHL level and the leadership from playing on top lines in Hershey.
Exciting times ahead for capitals fans, great show Dan!
crystal may end up with more votes than leonard on calder cup voting, sourdif in myro out? lapriere may be a flame at trade deadline for kadry if he does not improve, great kid i hope he makes caps.
Okay, I am going to address the elephant in the room. Everytime the prospects are talked about one name is never mentioned. Parascak was our first round 17th overall but our 2nd round and 3rd round pick from that same year are Hutson and Protus are talked much much more. I remember when Parascak was first selected seeing alot comments that this was a poor pick 😕. Did the Caps make a mistake with this pick?
