I think Corey Hirsch put it nicely. If you hit a player in the lower back or leg region, a player cannot control their balance. And will fall forward or backwards. Two minutes that's all though

It was an illegal hit but he totally faked the injury. He clearly looked up at the ref to see if he would call a penalty
