I don't think the oilers were a bad team at all. From LA game 3 onwards, they were unstoppable. We saw in games 1 and 4 of this series though, that when both teams play their best, the oilers were slightly better, but lost because they just weren't consistent enough. The panthers won because they are 95% as good as the oilers have the potential to be, 100% of the time. Edmonton treated the series like a sprint, when florida realised it was a marathon.
Panthers are flat better than Oiler did hear McDavids comments when he was ask what the highest level hockey played this year he said Four Nation and Panthers a really close. Nothing else needed to be said.

Your opinion is as wrong as insignificant. The Panthers won because they are the best team, not because how bad the Oilers are.

Game 2 OT. Refs missed a blatant 2 many men penalty. Could have very easily been 2-0 series lead for edmonton.

It’s easy the Panthers got better in the off-season. The Oilers didn’t.
