Mike Tyson Felt Empty After Cus Died

Mike Tyson felt empty when his mentor, Cus D’Amato, died. His goal as a boxer was to make Cus happy, but after Cus passed away, things went downhill. Don King wanted to get rid of his trainer, Kevin Rooney, and Mike thought the people around him genuinely cared—but it turned out they just wanted something from him.

  1. Mike’s defense and boxing skills seemed to deteriorate after Kevin’s departure. Mike stopped working the body as much and relied more on head hunting.

  2. The greatest coach and trainer combination produced the youngest Heavyweight Champion of the World ever. Iron Mike.

  3. I know what Mike was feeling because I felt the same way when my old man died the feeling of nothingness was something I can’t describe 😢
