We Flew to Chicago to Go to a Blackhawks Game vs the Preds

We traveled to Chicago to go to a Blackhawks game at the United Center! We are Nashville Predators fans, so when we saw that the Preds were playing in Chicago on a Friday, we had to make the trip! This was our experience!

  1. I am happy you had such a good time. Back in the day when the anthem played we were so loud n rowdy you could feel the Madhouse shake under your feet. Y'all got to come back next time the Hawks are in the playoffs or if we ever host the 4 nations games.

  2. Chicago native here. We Chicago sports fans are really the best. You should check out a Cubs game ! Atmosphere is amazing !

  3. Great Video. You're right about the low energy sorry to say. This current team has not done well to keep the One Goal spirit alive. The crowd and anthem was a completely different level of madness in 2010-2015. As you can see they can't even sellout anymore. That would have been impossible back in the hey days of 10-15 years ago. Hopefully both these teams can find the magic and greatness they once had.

  4. Love that you're doing this. I'm jealous. I want to do it with college basketball and football in the Big Ten. A Bulls game is a different vibe and just as good, if not better.

  5. Yea dude i went to plenty of games during our dynasty. I so miss that atmosphere although we have a strong fan base. Very soon well be back when misa and bedard are tearing the league up.

  6. Before tickets became ridiculous I was a season ticket holder. Section 110 row 10 seats 20, 19, 18, 17 those tickets now are a fortune. Jim Corneliasen stands next to you before he goes out and sings the National Anthem

  7. That walkway upstairs is standing room only. A great place to be- when you’re in your 20s.

  9. Thanks for visiting Chicago. I hope they treated you well. I suspect everyone did. Looking forward to your Philadelphia experience.

  10. I feel like an old timer. The old stadium was the place. Smaller rink, smoky, gritty, old time hockey. Every time Garry Unger stepped on the ice the crowd would whistle. Dino's hanging from nooses.

  11. Shame you didn't get to experience a Hawks game back in the day. When Kane & Toews were doing their thing, especially in the playoffs, your ears would be buzzing the rest of the night after leaving the UC. Absolutely mind-blowing crowd energy.

  12. A Blues v Blackhawks game at the old Chicago Stadium or the Old Arena in St. Louis is a game every hockey fan should’ve experienced. Back in the 80’s, there were more fights in the stands than on the ice. Good times.

  13. You risked your life going into Chicago.??? That UC looks like an overpriced Shopping Mall. And the Old Chicago Stadium had a better Arena .

  14. Born in San Diego, didn’t get into hockey til around 10 years ago when the hawks played the ducks in the WCF. I live in Chicago and I done this so many times when the ducks come to town. Always fun! Quack quack!

  15. Glad you enjoyed your visit! The UC is special to us Chicago fans. And we don’t know why there’s no cup holders either😭

  16. My 2 brothers and I took a NY Islanders road trip to Chicago and the Blackhawk fans were very friendly and hospitable. The arena was beautiful and bigger than I thought. The entire experience was great. An Islanders 6-2 win was icing on the cake

  17. If there’s visiting team fans next to me at games I try to assess their friendliness and if they’re cool I’ll buy them a beer or whatever to make them feel welcome.

  18. I WAS AT THAT GAME😂 that was u first time going to see Nashville play away, when we scored the first goal you could see us on the top I was with my hole hockey team it was the funnest time ever

  19. Too bad Nashville didn't extend such a welcoming hand during the "keep the Red out". I will never go to Nashville because of that.
