First 7 games of Martin Necas in Colorado mix

  1. Space creator, enters the zone at will, looks for trailers, deceptive/creative playmaker, brilliant off-puck spacing that perfectly fits the high-octane style Colorado runs. Seamless fit

  2. there was a zone entry against the Canucks (wasn't included here) that had me on my knees. He suits Big Mac's game so well

  3. Had to skip a couple minutes (not subjecting myself to hearing Sam Rosen for even a second) but Nachos is a beaut

  4. Not often a team's 3 best players are all righties, and all on the ice at the same time. All amazing skaters and puckhandlers. It will be interesting to see what their zone entry percentages look like by the end of the year. Seems like an automatic offensive entry any time they're on the ice.

  5. I love Mikko but he can't consistently gain the offensive zone like Necas can with his speed and puck control. Time will tell who the better fit is, but right now it's lookin great for Necas on the Avs.

  6. Eyes in the back of his head, skating wizardry, high hockey IQ… When all those posts and crossbars start going in, he’s gonna put up some numbers.

  7. I know this is all good stuff but at 9:10.. wow. Elite puck handling. I would have guessed it was Nate with the smooth moves to keep that puck in and then make a pass to… Nate.. hahaha…

  8. Avs first line is so quick now, crazy amount of amazing skaters at the same time on the ice. Must be a nightmare to defend!

  9. I was a bit angry to lose Rants from the Avs but that emotion died away quickly. He was the speed that MacK needed to complement him. It doesn't matter if it is Lekky or Drouin on the other side, that line is lethal every shift now.

  10. I knew when I watched the first highlight reel of Neces that I was gonna like this guy. He's just so artful on his entry, its like watching old clips of Hejduk. Deke one way, headfake another, stride, stride, and now that wall of D are just watching his numbers go by them.

  11. Remember, this wasn't just Necas for Mikko. This was Necas/Drury (who's been amazing on the third line/PK/Faceoffs) and multiple draft picks for Mikko. Someone should call the police in to investigate a crime. Oh, did I mention he just turned 26, the same age as Makar. Yeah, #8 and #88 could be amazing Avs for many years to come.

  12. Carolina greatly misses Necas… and while Mikko may have had great stats with MacKinnon… he's going to see a big drop on Carolina (Mikko just doesn't have the dynamic "make it happen" PP entries, and open ice skills of a Necas. You can see: the Canes are feeling the pain without him! Mikko needs puck-passing stars around him…. and the Canes (a very good team) just dont have that kind of guy atm (sadly Aho is not that guy)).

  13. Marty moves his feet. Doesn’t stand around. Forces everyone to move their feet too. He makes Colorado’s top 6 more dangerous

  14. That's the thing with Necas and a lot of other players at his caliber. If 30% of these went in the net he will be considered elite. He does everything right. He does things better than most. He definitely gets into the zone better than most elite players. But he just doesn't find the net. He can't finish.

  15. I like these cause you see the opportunities his plays open up. Or great defensive plays. & Plays that don't count on paper technically, but there plays that help your team win. Can you please do a mix on Artemi Panarin? He's slick with the puck and i will like to see his vision highlighted. I know it'll be good.
