SNEAKY Bruins Move Coming… Report Reveals BIG Update | Boston Bruins News

More sneaky moves appear to be coming for this Boston Bruins team as another report has come out detailing the next step the Bruins should take in free agency and we’re going to be talking about what this means going forward as well as what a previous move the Bruins attempted to make means for this one after they missed out on a specific player here in free agency. We got a lot to break down today, ladies and gentlemen. Before we do jump into this video though, if you haven’t already, be sure to hit the sub button. We’re getting your Bruins news all throughout the summer and we know that just over 60% of you guys watching right now are not subscribed to the channel. And if you’re looking for a spot for all of your Bruins news, you’re in that right spot. Hit the sub button, join me here on the channel. Now, I did want to jump straight into this and get over where the Bruins should go from here. Now, this comes from a report from the hockey news kind of detailing what the next steps the Bruins should take are. And we’ve known this Bruin team seems to be looking to make another move while indirectly saying it. And this one is sort of that. This comes as a PTO and they have this as a report. When looking at UFA’s left, one who undoubtedly stands as a potential PTO candidate for the Bruins is winger Victor Olivesson. Now, I made a video on him previously this summer and in the offseason and I’m still shocked and I can genuinely say this right now that I’m still shocked that he has not signed with an NHL team after what he did last season with the Vegas Golden Knights having a big bounceback from what he did with the Buffalo Sabres. Victor Olson is a guy that really fits into quite a few schemes and I think that as a secondary scoring option, he would be a very good fit for the Boston Bruins. Now, a PTO professional try out is one that a lot of teams really like to explore nowadays. We saw the Bruins do it with Tyler Johnson last year. Ultimately didn’t really work out. He was released a couple only, I believe was like nine games later. But there are times you get some sneaky good additions via a PTO and the Bruins have been, you know, pretty favorable in that aspect. And when you’re coming down to a Victor Olivesson if he’s not signed, of course, by the beginning of the season. I love the idea of bringing him in on a PTO, it’s a very well obviously it’s a risk-free try out, but you also make your decision there where you see how he plays with your team rather than just taking the gamble. Now, I do have a kind a few screenshots I want to pull up here to kind of emphasize my point and I want to know what you guys think as well in the comments below about Victor Olson and uh and you know the kind of interest in this Bruins team, especially being as young as he is, as uh you know, solid of a player he was with Vegas and pairing with the right players. I think he has a great option to really excel in a Bruins organization where we could use him more than the Vegas Golden Knights did and it’s a better system than the Buffalo Sabres. It seems to make a lot of sense where he could fit in on this team. And taking a look at his stats, I do apologize. It is a bit small there on the bottom, but taking that leap that he did from the Buffalo Sabres in 23 24 to last year with Vegas in 20 uh 24-25, he really took that big jump. Still only 29 points, 15 goals, 14 assists, not the greatest kind of, you know, track right there. But in 56 games, and when he’s healthy, he’s a very solid player. And especially coming in at 30 years old, you know, he’s still young in my mind as well. you know, he’s not the youngest, but he still has a lot of time left to play in his NHL career. And, you know, especially starting in 181, 19 while you’re having over that SHL career or the Swedish hockey league career, he knows what he’s doing. He’s fitting in well, and we saw that last year at Vegas. And there’s something in my mind maybe that’s coming about, hey, there’s something he wants to go play in Europe again that we don’t know about right now as fans that could be a reason why teams are not signing him. as a Victor Olson that we’ve been able to see and you kind of go back to his years there in like you know the beginning of the 2020s he put up 40 points pretty consistently and I there’s nothing in my mind stopping him from doing that once again with this Bruins team now when you’re coming into it as well there could be a very big issue with this kind of deal is the asking price what he’s doing in free agency what that could translate to in a PTO and usually when you get a PTO on a signing the deal’s a little bit less than what it would be if you were going out and signing in free agency but I have just uh want to pull something from Scotia stat going over um the uh really kind of contract comparison of where we’re going here and the projected value. Now they have about two years 2.4 4 million and after taking that jump from 1 million with Vegas that’s a quite a big increase for you know a handful of points more and that’s where a PTO I think would really lessen this deal make it a one year kind of 1 million maybe kind of similar to what he did last year now whether or not he would be willing to sign that and that’s probably a reason why he hasn’t already could be a big issue on that side of things but if they do work out you know things get to the beginning of the season and Victor Olson is still there the Bruins should really bring him in on a PTO and as you probably just saw I kind at a comparison as to what the Bruins are looking for in that style of player and why Victor Olson could be the perfect fit for this option. And from David Pagnado, the fourth period, the Bruins and the Maple Leafs were two teams who were eyeing Andrew Mjapani before he signed with the Edmonton Oilers in free agency. Now, I actually didn’t know this when I before I went and researched for this video. They were eerily similar similar last year in kind of the play style, games, total points, whatnot. And Andrew Maji is a player who you’re going to get more name value out of because he’s had almost a little bit of a better career yet still not much longer, one year uh younger, but 28 points in 81 games, less of a point production total, but you go back to the few years prior, 40 points, 43 points, 55 points. Now, he’s been on a steady drop since then, but I really don’t think that’s anything that, you know, you should take a concern of. And when the Bruins were looking at a guy like this who after playing with, you know, Alex Ovuchetkin having kind of that, you know, style of hockey that the Washington Capitals have, they’re a bit of an older team. The Bruins right now still a little bit of an older team, getting a bit younger. But when you’re looking at Andrew Japani as a shot a left shot left winger, you know, putting him on the second line, whether you’re going to put him with Zaka, whether it would be with Casey Middle, whether you would have signed Victor um Arbitson in this case really makes it seem that Victor Olivesson would be the, you know, ideal move left to be made for this Boston Bruins team. But, you know, I also don’t think, and as I mentioned, I don’t think there’s any rush to do it. That’s why the PTO is in mind here from uh Michael D. Rosa of the hockey news and coming into this idea that he would if available he would be a good fit but there’s no point in trying to go out and get him at that $2.4 million price tag whether or not he would be available the PTO would be really the not sole option but the best option kind of in terms of what he would bring to the table for them. So taking a look at Andrew Mangapani and taking really a look at where those two would have fit or let’s just say where Andreani would have fit compared to where Victor Olison would fit. There’s still that question there on the second line rightwing as to whether or not Victor Arbertson will start there. At this point right now, as recording this video in August 7th, it does seem like Victor Arbertson will be that second line rightwinger for this Brewers team. But then you go from there. You have a lot of younger players coming into this lineup and there’s an issue as well that when you’re adding a guy like Victor Olivesson who at this point right now still maybe a third line, maybe teetering second line winger, we have a lot of those. We really do. And going from Tanner Jano who of course we signed to a 5-year massive contract which still a fan of Mark Hassley, Sean Carelli, Mikey Asamont, you know, you got a lot of these bot and six guys that are throwing into the mix and if you go ahead and add another one in Victor Olam that he does not perform the way he did with Vegas, you’re not going to keep him on the second line which causes a few points of concern. So on a PTO, once again, I think it’s a bit of a risk-free option due to the fact that you get to see him before, what he does, what he will do, how he kind of fits in with the team rather than just going out signing him off a bare contract. And uh you know, potentially having another player to add down into this bottom six to mix into kind of the the cluster of players that we have down there. And not necessarily an issue because the more you have the better, more moves you can make. I think we’re gonna see a lot of trades here in this Bruins season, but it just goes to add another kind of player who could take him to the cap where the Bruins could use that elsewhere. So, I want to know what you guys think about this potential deal. Do you think that, you know, or I should say this, would Victor Olson be someone who you entice to come to the Boston Bruins, or would you be really just kind of waiting to see what he does on a potential PTO with this team? I’m very curious to see because I think that as we kind of go closer and closer to the season, there’s going to be a lot more Bruins fans, you know, myself included, questioning how this roster is going to be really structured from game one to game 82 and what goes on in between there. And I’m curious to see what you think as well. But I do want to pull up one more thing before we do finish this video off that Andrew Man’s contract was a 3.6 for 2 years. Now, that’s quite a bit of a money for a guy who what we saw last season didn’t really put up the biggest production. Now we know the Oilers a bit of a different you know kind of place they’re in where they’re trying to get players who will compleiment Conor McDavid, Leon Dryidle, you know, Ryan Nan Hopkins these players that have known to be the goal scorers on that team. So unless you see a big fit there, that makes sense. But when you’re looking at him compared to Victor Olivesson and the $1 million difference and close on that kind of deal between those two, it raises a lot of questions. So I’m curious to see what you guys think about all of this. Would you be willing to give Victor Olson a PTO to kind of replace the thought of what Andrew Mongji a pony would have been? Put him in the second line, third line. Let me know in the comments below what your plan would be, if anything, of course, because I’m still quite a bit on the fence about this idea fully. But you know me and you know me last year. If you watch the videos, you know I love me a PTO. So, let me know what you think in the comments below. That’s all I got in this video. If you did enjoy, give it a like, hit the sub button as well. I’m signing out though. Thank you for watching. Hope you have a great day. See you later.

The Boston Bruins have been linked to yet again another player but this time not as a signing, but as a PTO as we continue to get closer to the season. After missing out on Andrew Mangiapane, reports have linked Victor Olofsson to the Boston Bruins if he remains unsigned come training camp.
