  1. Roy has what it takes in my eyes. just has to go out and earn it everynight. Junior to NHL is a huge jump, some guys have to change their game ot take the next step. i think hes figuring it out at the AHL level and can provide some secondary scoring. WIth Armia and Dvo gone there are some spots up for grabs.

a heathy season from Laine and Dach is all im asking for.

  2. Cole needs more respect, and it will come after this season when other teams have to shut down more than one line and he finishes near the top of the Art Ross candidates. Keep the faith and Go Habs Go!

  3. Zero hope for Roy. Too slow. Goals in the Q, were that there is no defence or top goaltenders. Q are by far the lowest NHL talent contributor per pop.
Why does Quebec produce so few players in comparison to the rest of Canada?

A lot of hockey legends are from Quebec (Lemieux, Richard, Bossy, etc) but I was recently looking at the number of NHL players by province and was extremely surprised to see that Alberta and BC had close to the same number of active players as Quebec (Alberta has around half the population of Quebec and has almost as many players!).

    Alberta (4.3m): 52 players BC (5m): 48 players Quebec (8.5m): 61 players

And personally, I don't think hockey is any less popular in Quebec in comparison to other provinces, so anyone know why Quebec isn't able to produce as many players? Especially considering their rich past history.

  4. I may be a bit to hard to Joshua Roy, but the event he was supposed to be going to do signatures at a sports card shop was really a big disrespect. He also defend himself without even give any excuses, he let his manager do all the work. This was rad, without this we were already hearing he was a young party boy. The team culture is important, the respect to the fans is even more. Good if he change and becomes more serious.

  5. I bet they also used Boldy's 2025 playoff numbers as well. The problem with Roy is his work ethic when he's up with Montreal. Also, Boldy was playing 25 minutes in the 2025 playoffs. Those numbers in the Q and AHL mean very little if he cannot do it at the NHL level. Plenty of players do well in the AHL, but cannot bring that game to the show in the NHL. Laine can be very capable if he's healthy. Sort of like Marian Gaborik, capable but gets injured often. Last season, if Laine scores a go-ahead or extends the lead, the Habs never lost.

  6. If Patrik Laine plays out of his mind I wouldn't mind if we offer him a cheap 4 years contract. Although, his defensive game has to be decent, not AHL level.
