Would Pavel Zacha HELP the Canucks?

Would Pavel Zacha HELP the Canucks?

Hey everyone, welcome to Kempner Conucks. My name is Rev Trev and I’m so glad you’re here because tonight we are going to be talking about Pavl Zaka. He and we’re going to be talking about trade options. This is going way too fast. Okay, we’re going to be talking about trade options um coming possibly coming to Vancouver. Now, there’s been a trade. Kratzoff is now a Vancouver Canucks. We’re gonna talk about that as well. Let’s go Canucks. Let’s go you for being here for talking about our awesome team. I should say awesome. And we’ve never won a cup, but hey, we’re planning on it. We want to win a cup. Let’s go. Let’s go. So, we got lots to talk about tonight. Um, it’s the summer. Let’s talk about some trade rumors. Let’s get into it. Let’s go. [Music] [Music] All right, everyone. So, let’s dive into this conversation on Pavl Zaka. And that is one of the things um that that we do want to ask because here’s the thing. Uh will would would uh P Pavl Zaka help the Vancouver Canucks? Um let’s talk about it. Let’s talk. Post it in the comments right now if if you think that Pavl Zaka would help the Vancouver Conucks. um because that is uh an amazing uh not an amazing but a a name that keeps coming up and we’re going to talk I know some of you will want to talk uh about um McTavish or or uh Rossi or um and I I’ll just put those names in too and we’ll talk about them later tonight. Um but but we’ll we’re going to get into the Pebble Zaka conversation first. Okay, we’re going to do the C P Zach of conversation. We’re also going to talk about the C the crit of um um uh conversation. Also, I I’ve got a quote that I want to download from uh Kuck Clay who want one of uh great guy. Love Kuck Clay’s content. If you’re not following him, please do. So, I’m going to download I forgot to download that before the stream started. So Pavl Zach like some of you are like who what is he really going to help us? Um, that is the big question, right? That’s the big big question. And I think that that this is an important question to ask because who is it for the second line center that we can get at this stage, right? And I know everyone wants to talk about McTavish and everyone’s still talking about Rossi and and and maybe you want to talk about Jared McCann next. Uh, that’s definitely an option. Okay, that’s definitely an option. But when it comes to Zaka and we just focus on on that, why would the Boston Bruins want to trade him? Now, let’s look. I’ll just bring up the Boston Bruins um uh their line combinations just for a second because they’re not in a full rebuild, okay? But as you look at this team, they are trying to retool. And there was some I read some stuff where they were talking about, hey, maybe they’re trying to create cap space for a guy like Conor McDavid. Now, I think that’s a pipe dream. I think if uh McDavid ends up leaving, he’s not going to go to a place like Edmond or like uh Boston. I think he would go to Toronto to be all in all honesty, they would have to make him. But maybe Boston’s a realistic place and they’re trying to move money out to get uh you know even more cap space in. But if you look at it, Zach is a left winger at this stage. They have Casey Middlestat that have locked in for that second se. We’ve seen Zacka play there. Why would Zaka be a great option for the Vancouver Conucks? Well, there’s a couple reasons why. He’s a solid player. I wouldn’t say he’s elite. I don’t think he’s an amazing second line center, but he’s he’s okay. He’s okay. Right. So, if you look at it that way, why is all these things stop seeing this ad? I don’t want to see any ads. That’s what I look at all these ads on here. Anyways, um so th this is where we’re at, right? He would he would bring that depth to the second line. He I believe he his face off was 53%. That That’s pretty good. That’s pretty good if you ask me. And when you’re looking at his team, you got to also look at his um his how much money he costs cuz he’s on a 2-year contract. I believe it’s $4.75 million. Let me just confirm that with you. Yeah, 4.75 million for not only this season, but next season. He’s got an 18 no trade list. I doubt Vancouver’s on that team uh on that list. I mean on that list and they just went and paid uh Tanner Jano 3.4 million for the next how many years? So and he’s also he cannot be traded. He’s a no trade clause not a no movement no trade clause cannot be traded without the permission of of the of someone else of of him. So they need some cap flexibility and they only have 2 million at the moment. The problem is Vancor Conucks only have uh this is our current cap salary right here. Okay, this is the cap room, right? This is the cap room. So if if you look at this scenario and and you explore it a little more, Zaka could be helpful. Could be helpful. But how do you guys how do they with the $2 million cap, we would have to move someone else. So let’s let’s quickly look at our roster. Okay, so go down to the Vancouver Conucks and this is the thing. So the first thing you see is this top line to Bruss um they’re wanting to get help at this that 2C. So Heedle becomes the third line center or Heedel goes through the wing and that would be probably the ideal thing is because see De Brusk De Brusk and Zaka have already played together. They have some chemistry and that’s that’s a good sign, right? That’s a really good sign. So you’re sitting there and you’re looking at this and you’re going, “Hey, that that’s not so bad. That’s not so bad.” Uh but the stats for Zaka aren’t great, right? So if you look at this last year, 82 games, only 47 points, 14 goals, 33 assists. Not bad for the price. The year before that, played 78 games and had 59 points, 21 goals, 38 points. Uh the year before that, played a full 82, got 57. So, you know, that 5957 is really where he maxes out. And um so that’s the kind of player you’re looking at there. That’s the kind of player you’re looking at. But you would have to move money out. And and if you had to move money out, I would think that you would need to move a guy like Hoglander in a deal to move money out as well as to bring money in. So the cap hit’s not going to be that bad. will still take on whatever it is. I think Hoglander makes 3 million. So it’ be 1.75 million you’d have to take on, but that’s where it is. And then you move Heedle to the wing and all of a sudden your wingers get a a little bit stronger. You you get you got reinforced down the middle. I I think that’s the thing. The problem is the problem is everyone is that the the Canucks in order to pull this off. It’s like what do you have to give up? Because the first question is would Zaka help? The second question is um does he move the needle? Okay. The third question is how much would he cost? Does Zaka move the needle for the Vancouver Canucks? It’s a good question. Really good question. Um yeah. So, so this is this is interesting. Um and and like Shane is here says that Zaka is cheap compared to Aias and Brock. Absolutely not. But Aias and Brock need to be your top line forwards there. So you’re not looking for Zaka to be your top line forward. So um but yes, you’re right. Uh AI said that he could be one of he has been Boston’s one of top his top two uh centers for sure. for sure. Um, yeah. So, anyways, um, it’s it’s really really interesting when you start thinking about it that Zaka could be could be a guy that you’re you’re sitting there going, maybe he’s the stability down the middle that we need, but he doesn’t have offensive real upside like in all honesty. But 4.75 million get with that kind of production. I mean, you don’t want someone who’s only going to score 47 points. But if you moved him again, if we move him back to this, if we go back to this and you put you move De Brusk down and you put Zaka in the second line and you bring Kane or Heedle up actually. Yeah. De Brusk down, Kane up, and then Heededle could go to that third line uh winger. You can still have Ratu there. I I don’t mind it. I don’t mind it. Now, I want to go on record. I want to make sure you’re very clear when I say this. This is just a rumor. It’s not a report. There have been people who are trying to link Zaka to Vancouver or Utah is the other place. But neither deal has moved. Obviously, we haven’t. And that is the the big number three point, right? Is is the cost going to be too much? Because if I’m Boston or any team right now phoning and the Conucks are phoning me for a trade, I’m asking for Vellander. I’m asking for uh DPD. I’m asking for Manchini. I’m asking for uh Leer Mackey. Those are the guys I’m asking you to move. Would you do it or would it be like Hoglander and that’s it? Maybe we’ll throw in a second rounder. You know what I mean? Something interesting to think about. Will it Will it move the needle to make a move? Would they make a trade that or they’re like, “No, that we’re not getting a third line winger for our second line center.” Unless you pony up and it’s got to be Manini or whoever. It’s like, whoa, now this is getting pricey. This is why the deal hasn’t happened because that’s what they’ll be asking for, right? But the question I think that I’ve asked already and I’ve I’ve I’ve messaged other people like Mark, him and I have been talking today. Good to see you by the way. Um um that my question was does it does Zaka not only help but does he move the needle and that’s what uh clip justice says it would help but not do much then is it worth it? Uh, Cap says, “I don’t know that Zaka moves the needle. However, he doesn’t hurt them.” And as you’re saying, the chemistry de Brusk could get both producing a bit more. And side note, Cap De Brusk literally broke a careerhigh this year in goals playing for the Vancouver Conucks. So, um, yeah, the rumors have been all over. I I’ve been avoiding this conversation because I think it’s just a rumor, not a not a not real. You know what I mean? So, I’m just at that stage where I’m having a hard time in this off season diving just into rumors. Okay. Um, but this is this is not a report. This is a rumor. There’s no uh reports coming out from insiders saying this is happening. This is a thing. I think it’s more people looking at the rosters and I’m looking at they’re looking at Boston trying to retool, not rebuild, and they’re saying Zach. It could be a guy the Canucks or the Utah Mammoth. Did I say the Utah Jazz? Uh the Mammoth could be interested in. Um, but again, rumor not report, right? And Shane, you’re right. Like with De Brusk on the team, they could mesh well and get Zach ago going scoring. Yeah. And if you look at if you look at his numbers, um, uh, let me bring up his numbers here. I’ll save this and bring it up. Um, this is I believe, let’s go to stats. Okay, let’s bring it up now. It’s kind of hard to see, but at the top here, um, so he only got 47 points last year on an 82 game, right? But the year before he had 59. I think he played a bunch of time with De Brusk there. And I also think he played topline minutes if if memory serves me correctly. Does it show time on ice? Yeah. So time total even strength time on ice. He played way more this last year and had less less minutes. It’s cuz he played four four more games. That’s why actually yeah four more games. So it’s about the same. His production with the Brusk, that’s the point I’m trying to make with the Brusquek the last two years has helped him improve. Plus, I think he was also playing with Pastor Knack. We won’t talk about that. Okay. Obviously, everyone plays better with Pastor Knack. Yeah. So, De Bruss could help for sure. I like the chemistry feel. It could help push each other. Yeah, they could help push each other. Kelly says, “Um, Hoglander with EP25. I’d say make the trade.” Woof. See, I’d rather trade Manchini and Hoglander than EP25. But you might have to Yeah, might have to give up one of the young guys to have That’s the problem, right? Not for our young players. Give them wholeander and a second or a second. I would say Holander and a second get the deal done. That’s what I’d say. Um, Kelly says, “I trade Heedle for Kurfoot straight up with no prospects or picks, just player for player.” Kerfoot. Yeah. Well, I mean, um, let’s go back to that. Let’s go back to that. So, hm, that’s an interesting thing. I’d have to think about that a little more. Interesting thought. Interesting thought. So, um Stefan, welcome to the channel. Good to have you here. Uh just talking about, uh would Pavle Zaka help the Vancoux? Would he move the needle? How much would it cost? Uh this is this is definitely one of those things. Now, I’m going to dive into the other conversation, everyone. Um, we’re going to talk about um, well, let I mean, Jimmy says new government and lower taxes would help more would help more than getting him. Okay. Okay, Jimmy. Okay, I I I hear you. Okay. Um, but let’s talk about what everyone else wants to talk about. First, we’re going to talk about some of the other second line centers. Then we’re going to talk about the Kratzoff deal because I feel like the Kratzoff deal in all honesty is such a minor deal and everyone’s like why aren’t you talking about that tonight? So I’m like because it does I don’t think that one moves the needle at all at all. And speaking of which I need to add Kuck Clay’s um uh just adding it now so you can see it in a second. I think this is the right one. Yes, it is. Okay. So, we’ll talk about other second line centers and then we’ll also talk about uh Kratzoff deal. Okay. So, let’s bring up the e the extra players. The what what about the Canucks trading for Mason McTavish, Marco Rossy, Jared McCann, Peville Zacho. Okay, so we’ve talked about the Zach the Zach on right here. Okay, we won’t dive more into that. The Mason McCavish one right there. That one is the one that Kuck fans are obsessed about. The problem is, and I keep saying this, and I know Kuck fans don’t want to hear me say this, but it’s it’s just a reality. Again, massive rumor, no report. There’s no report out there that’s saying the Vancouver Canucks and the Anaheim Ducks are in contract or in trade negotiations for Mason McTavish. The other thing that you don’t want to hear from me is that what you’d have to give up for Mason McGavish, you probably won’t like. I think you would have to give up Leer Mackey and Vlander and maybe your first round pick next year to get Mason McTavish. That’s what it might cost. It might also cost Hoglander. It might cost Ratu. I’m not sure. I’m not sure. it it’s going to be a huge bill. I like Mason McTavish. I think he’s a good player. I I don’t think he’s a bad fit for the Vancouver. I think he’s a great fit, right? I just don’t think, first of all, I it’s a rumor, not a report. We need to reiterate that. And I don’t think if they were going to trade with somebody, it would with be the Vancouver Conucks. I think it will be with something totally different. my personal opinion, but everyone keeps putting into the comments almost every stream, “What about Mason McAvish? What about M.” I It’s like, if I was Anaheim Ducks, I wouldn’t trade him. I’d just sign him. Just sign him. Sign him. But maybe they don’t want to do that. And that’s good. So, I think that’s a pipe dream. Uh, but I would love it if we got McAvish for the right price. Absolutely love it. The Marco Rossy one keeps coming up. I just watched a video yesterday. Oh, it was it was hard to hear. Hard to listen to. Listen, everyone everyone who’s watched my channel has heard me say this before, but for you that are brand new, by the way, hit the like and subscribe. I do tons of Kox content that is passionate, realistic, and honest. Okay, the Rossi deal is dead. It’s over. It’s done. Okay, it’s totally done. There’s no circling back to Rossi here, people. What they want and what we want to give up, two different things. The first round pick for this year was the one that was in play. Plus, they wanted one of our young stars. And that’s where the Canucks like, “Nope. I believe the Canucks offered Joshua and the first overall pick who ended up being Coots. That would have been the trade that they offered and Minnesota basically laughed at us. The Rossi deal is is dead. I would be absolutely shocked if the Conucks landed Rossi before the season started. Now Rossi hasn’t signed either. McTavish hasn’t signed. McTavish could be a both of them I believe are they RFAS? I believe they are. Um I I I believe they are. So let’s just look at that real quick. So Anaheim I know Anaheim McTavish is an RFA. And if we go to Minnesota uh again RFA. So, last I heard, Rossy wanted 7 million times 7 years, and that’s where the stalemate is. So, if he’s getting traded somewhere, he’s wanting 7 million times 7 years. If that happens, the Conucks can’t even afford them. What would you pay Masonic Mavish? Same amount of money. It’s probably about 7* 7. The Conucks can’t afford. You had to move money out. You moved Joshua out so you could have some cap flexibility, but then you you handcuff yourself with these ones, right? So then we’ll go to Seattle and go to McCann, who is 29, not a young guy like the other two, making five million a year, way more affordable. Still need to move money out to do that. and he’s got two more years at $5 million than he’s a UFA. What would that cost? And this is why we’re at a stalemate. And maybe this is why the Zaka option might be a more realistic option. Not saying the Conucks have talked to any of them. Maybe they have. maybe done than their due diligence. I know Kunk fans, we’re we’re desperate for a trade. We we desperately don’t want to walk this team into the into the season, but I think that Vancouver Canucks will do that unless they pull off one of these decentsized trades. I mean, McDavage would be a monster uh deal for us. Um Rossi, I think I mean, they’ve already tried to make a deal with them, but I think that’s over. But if we actually landed Rossi, there’d be a lot of excitement in Vancouver. Smaller centerman though, a lot of people are a little concerned about that. Having Person and Rossi as your your two centerman, I I don’t think would be great. Wouldn’t be ideal. Okay. But McCavish, I mean, what’s his size? I forget. Um, let’s go back to Anaheim and just go to McTavish. I forget. He’s 22. That’s it everyone. He’s uh 6128. That that’s the kind of guy that’s some people say could be the next JT Miller. I get why people are in love with him. But Jared McCann at his age is just basically a two-year contract and it’s done. Pavl Zaka as well. I mean, we’re talking we’re talking um 28 years old, not 29 like Macan and has a couple years left on his contract. So, I get it. So, let me let me just dive into some comments for everyone here. Uh, we’ll talk about Kratz off in just a second. So, Rossy, McCann, and Zaka are weak teams like second line centers. Um, Sure. Sure. But they they’re there they’re there are improvements to ours probably and with Heedle’s health you might be forced to make this move. Yeah, they’re tiny upgrades over PSUR. Yep. Trade with Seattle and get McCann for the right price depending what the right price is. Uh Steven says, “I think Zaka would be a good fit with Garland as Zaka has a good shot and Garland has is a playmaker and then you put De Brusk on the left wing. That would be good.” Uh Bruins fans want a haul for Zaka as well. I mean Sammy, you’re not wrong, but what sometimes like I wanted more for Joshua. Sometimes you just under that cap crunch and you’re like to improve the team, you got to move move off the salary. So, I’m with you. Bruins fans can think whatever they want. I think Zaka would be a good fit with Garland as Zaka has a good shot. Garland is a good play. Yeah, we already just talked about this. Did you just copy and paste the exact same thing? And then of course, dumb me said it. Beer Baron says, “Should have just signed suitor.” [Music] You know what? Is that actually Is that a fair Let’s just look at Sudter again. Um hockey reference. I forget what he got for us last year. And I I like I like Pia Sudter. I like actually like him as a as a centerman way more. So 46 points. Yeah. I mean uh Best season ever he’s had his career year. 25 goals, 46 points. I don’t I don’t see he’s not see the P Sudtor one. As much as I love him and I I appreciate him, he’s he’s not a guy that moves the needle and he’s not a guy who can score 55 to 60 points. That’s where a Zaka would be. a Rossi uh I believe is um Rossi gets um 60 points already. Um McTavish is a 60 point guy, right? So let’s just see 52 points. So okay, but young young young 22 years old, right? Um what did I say? Rossi. I think Rossi had Marco Rossi had 60 points, 24 goals, 36 assists. Yeah, I I mean that’s what we’re looking for for a second line center. So Sudter is not going to move the needle on the production piece in my opinion, on the offensive production. I know Alvine is seriously looking at a at the guy from Carolina. He said an interview in a writeup. Yep. Uh Ross Levich. Uh that that’s the guy I’ve been talking about in a number of videos. Uh they are in contract conversations with him. They’re trying to get him, in my opinion, they’re trying to get him for dirt cheap. That’s what they’re trying to do. Yeah. Yeah. It’s exactly who you’re talking about. Harvra went to the new GM and asked for no trade under any circumstances. Okay. Um, given the that the cap face is the issue on signing some of these guys, why is no one considering trading heronic and it’s 7 million in until 2030? That’s a great question, Cap. Um, there are people that have talked about that, but the Vancouver Conucks are not talking about that. So, Zaka’s career average is 45 points. Suitor’s career average is 36 points. Yeah, but if you look at their career years, you’re looking at their career years. Um, that’s where where Zaka is has had two much better seasons than Pia Sudter. Pia Sudter’s career year was 46 points. I don’t think that’s good enough for a second line center. Lynon is in the building. Good to see you. Um, Husky Unchained back two nights in a row. Good, good to see you, man. By the way, I love that uh New Jersey looking uh jersey there. I still got mine sitting right here that I pulled in that uh HKY jersey. Um, I got a lot of flack last night for wearing it. Uh, back to the Go Conucks go shirt. I’ve got tons of Conucks jerseys over here. So Rossi has maestro myioardis bard myioartis scary heart condition medically cleared to play but I still clear I did not know this and I and I butchered the name on that on that uh concern. Huh. Thanks for sharing that. Thanks for sharing that. Okay, just going to do a couple more comments and we’re going to get into the Kratzoff conversation. Okay. Uh, speaking of the Kratzoff conversation, um, Heedel and Kratzoff have played together a few times during their careers. I did not know that. The new Canucks teammates played on the same AHL team in 2019. They also played together on the Rangers in 2223. During that time, they outscored their opponent, their opposition 5-1. Interesting. Interesting. Okay, let’s let’s uh what were we going to I was going to get into some more comments first. Myo Oh, wait a minute. Uh they should with the state of the team. Who else do they have not named Hughes that would bring back any sort of decent return? I that’s a good thing. Myoc card it no are myocarditis. Okay. I don’t mariocarditis. I don’t know. I’m butchering it. Someone’s gonna clip that. Uh, yeah, Zach’s career average would have been even higher if he didn’t have a slow start to his career. Absolutely. Absolutely. Okay, let’s let’s dive into the Kratzoff um conversation. Uh, let’s see if I can get there. So, Kadak’s general manager, Alvine, let me just post this in the comments, okay? Or in the in a banner. Um, and while I’m doing that, I I didn’t realize, Shane, but I had this. If is UFA Jack Rosovich the answer? We’ve talked about that at Nauseium already talked about it tonight. So, general manager Patrick Alvine, this is the Canucks announced on on X on all their social media platforms announced today that the Canucks have agreed to terms with forward uh Vitali uh Kratzoff on a one-year two-way contract. I believe the number is uh 775,000. So, when you look at Yetis, it’s a cap hit for a one-year deal. It’s a it’s a show me deal, as my friend Joe Cooper has reminded me. It’s a show me deal. Um, so it’s a two-way. It’s a two-way. Uh, and the minors, he doesn’t make though, um, he doesn’t make like 82 to $90,000. his minor salary would be 450,000. And so interesting that the Canucks bring Kratz off back. It’s it’s really in my opinion a very minor deal. Okay. It is more about Abbottzford than it is about Vancouver because and I’ll tell you why. because my good friend Clay tweeted this out today. Says, “Kratzov has the most uh smetrical NHL stats I’ve ever seen. Six goals and six six assists in 64 NHL games. Five goals and five assists with the Rangers. One goal and one assist with the Canucks.” I mean, when you look at that, that doesn’t scream, “Hey, let’s sign this guy.” It says to me, it says to me that, you know what, um, this is the ahl guy and the Abbottzford Canucks need him and he has NHL experience. So, if you have injuries, a significant number of injuries, you can bring them up for a short period of time. That’s all this is. I had friends message me what’s the deal bringing Kratz off back and I’m like that’s a good question the answer is Abbottzford Abbottzford the answer he is not a solution to making this team become great now maybe he surprises me maybe he does something that I don’t see happening right why did that thing come down okay by the way everyone side note if you’re looking at the hat and you’re saying Rev Trev, I like your hat, right? Or you like you like the white one? Really? Or the Oh, as that one the other white one just fell down. The black one’s slick though. I think that’s going to be the top seller. Right. Got a little There you go. These things are gorgeous. If you want one of these, email me at Kempnerox. Okay. Um, and I’ll send you the information on it, how much all cost, all that kind of stuff. But this deal to me speaks about Abbottzford than it does. And this is why I’m like, I don’t want to make a full video on this. Like, let’s be honest. So, Philip Pedle and him have played together a little bit. They didn’t have good production. Look at his numbers that Clay mentioned. totally not great. It’s just such a minor deal and it’s like they’ve got to build up Avisur. They got to keep Avisur competitive and all that kind of stuff. What do you guys think about the Kratzoff deal? Were you surprised? Uh were you happy? That would be uh great to know. Hans, good to see you. Hope you’re doing well, man. Welcome to the channel. Good to have you back. Um, hope you’re having a great summer. Isn’t it one and one in 12 games in 2020? I I don’t know. One goal, one assist in 12 games. It I know it’s it’s shocking to me, but but the the whole cost to it is so interesting to me. Like, I love contract stuff. I know Kuck fans are starting to get way more into it, but if you look at the contract breakdown, okay, so here it is. a one-year deal. A one-year deal. He’s only 25 years old. He’s a right and or left winger. His agent is Daniel Milstein. We love Daniel. He’s got great charisma. 775,000. You’re looking at that. And uh that’s what he makes if he plays for the Canucks. But the minor salary, see this right here? The minor salary, it’s a two-way. If he’s goes down, if he goes down, he makes 47 450 and that’s why he signs this deal. That’s why he does that. Uh Shane says that surprised he didn’t play well last time. Uh I I just knew it was going to be a long shot, everyone. So yeah. So I I mean to me this is this is not let’s make one video all on Kratz off because it it doesn’t really matter. It doesn’t matter with him. But see the reason why I like talking about the the $450,000 there is because see that’s what we did with Sheiloffs. remember when when we signed him to two years at 850,000 whether he played down or up was a great deal for him because he was guaranteed the money if he played in the NHL which he did for most of the season he would have made like 90,000 but by signing that deal but then it it hooked them because when they signed Demco back remember that is there so this is an interesting $450,000 to play in Abbottzford That either means he’s going to be like topline winger or he’s going to fill in sometimes for the Vancouver Conucks. Why bring back the player we know that doesn’t play good? I I think it’s uh just depth for Abbottzford. He’ll play good in Abbottzford. There was information about him, how he played in the KHL. Was he second in scoring? There’s something crazy that he he did there. So, Japan 4 is in the building. Good to see you, my friend. Um, just enjoying tonight. Just joined the conversation. Glad to see you here. Mark says, “I looked and I thought it was a joke. Had to read it a few times to to see it was true. Uh, I was at work. You had texted me while I was at work. Thank you for letting me know the the breaking news. Appreciate it. Husky Unchained says, “Wasn’t happy when we traded Zaka for Hul Hoola. Sure wouldn’t mind if the Devils brought him back as a third line center, but I prefer a more physical center.” Hey, that’s a great perspective. Honestly, a really great perspective. Um, I think Riverrat made a comment about Just Scrolling up. Oh, no. You talked about Zaka, but you said that you were late due to Microsoft update. All good, man. Um, what’s the other Kratzoff conversation? Kratz off played with Hedel. They could push each other. I mean, what? push each other to like push push the wheelchair around. Sorry, I shouldn’t joke around. That’s he’s walking through a serious thing. Japan forces I think they sign Kratz off to take a risk to possibly hope he does something to bring value back on him as being a number nine overall pick and we trade him if he proves his value. That’s that’s a good point. That’s a really good point. Yeah. So, I know a lot of us are sitting there going scratching our heads going, “Huh?” Like, “What are we doing here? What are the Conucks doing here?” You know, Katroff plus three um over 34 games, maybe a bottom six depth piece for injuries, etc. with at least liability. Is it immigration? I’m uh mitigation. Mitigation. Yeah. I mean, he just doesn’t move the needle, right? Hands that that’s the point. He doesn’t move the needle. Just dep like think you Levy. No, not sorry, not Lu Levy. Jules. Think Jules, right? Depth’s guy comes in, can play, won’t play at a super high level. I actually think Jules was more of an impact player than Kratzoff would be. Uh Katoff would be like a fourth line player, maxed third line uh winger. That That’s what we’re talking about the same contract. I know that Jules was a a defenseman, but I’m just trying to like prove to you guys like how minor this deal is. Yeah, 100%. 100%. Yeah. So, we swapped him for Lockwood basically. Yeah, good point, Angelo. Good point. Yeah. So th this is the problem with we’re we’re in the beginning of August of the are we on the 5th 5th of August Tuesday night 2025 there’s literally nothing going on and the biggest news in the Canucks day is that we brought Kratz off back whip yeah whip yippy duda yeah that’s what it is yippyda who cares depth piece doesn’t really make it doesn’t move the needle. But maybe maybe I don’t know. Uh Gerald, this you’re right. Katruff could replace what we lost in Abby. If he plays well, he could be a good call up. I wouldn’t say good callup. He’d be a callup. [Laughter] You imagine we bring him up and he plays on the second line with Heedle because they had some chemistry a couple times. What would you expect? I would I would expect more out of Lionus Carlson than I would over Kratzoff and it’s not close. Like that’s the guy I’m bringing up. I’m bringing up Leer Mackey. I’m bringing up Carlson. I I I’m bringing up Baines before I’m bringing up Kratzoff, everyone. But that’s just me. I I think I think those guys would all have better production. We do not need Kratz off. That’s why I was scratching my head. But you’re right, he could be a call out. Uh if he plays well, you never know. Um Gerald, you’re right. I am I don’t have a crystal ball. I don’t know. It’s my guess. But let me tell you very clearly. He’s played a few games in the NHL and had no He has never played well. He’s never played well. He should have being the ninth overall pick. This is whoever drafted him. I forget who even drafted him. Uh let’s see. Where was he drafted to? Um, bring it up because that’s a major fail. Fail. I mean, major fail. He was drafted by the New York Rangers. First round, ninth overall pick 2018. Talk about fail. That’s That’s a fail. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, you you get more opportunity now. You’re right. Maybe he he’s like he’s super motivated. He’s like, “Man, I was excited. His dream was busted, right? Two spots after Hughes. That’s insane. Obviously has potential. Maybe this is like this is my last shot to make the NHL, to make good money.” He’s super motivated. Obviously, he had some good skill set. He just hasn’t been great in the NHL. So, let’s give him let’s give him something to think about. He’s 6’3″, 186 pounds. May maybe maybe you’re right, Gerald. Maybe he’s the guy. Maybe he’s the guy. You never know. Uh, by the way, my name’s has a an N in it as well. Um, but no big deal. Thought it would just be funny to say. So, yeah, I’m I’m I don’t have high hopes for him. I don’t I don’t think the Canucks do either. It is what it is. All right, everyone. I’m going to call it a night cuz I’m tired of talking about Kratzoff. But I’m excited to connect with you again. Just a reminder, if you’d like a Kempner Conucks hat, um, let me know. Email me at [email protected]. I’d appreciate that. No pressure. You don’t have to buy it. Nothing at all. Nothing at all at all. Um, this could be like suitor signing. Yeah, there you go. I like that. Sorry, Ke. No, no apologies needed. I thought it would be funny. Uh, Syndicat says, “Kucks would have been better hanging on to Pod Coulson.” True. True. Absolutely true. But it is what it is. All right, everyone. Thanks again for being here. You guys and girls are awesome. If you’re watching this later, thank you so much for watching. Appreciate you. And uh I’m just going to hit the the outro. I’m going to make a new one for the season. Uh so if some of you asking why you still say that JT Miller is your favorite kanak on there, it’s because he was last year. Um, but I love my outro. Looks cool. Okay. Uh, make a new one for the this season. Have a great day and uh we’ll talk soon and of course always go Canucks go. [Music] you. [Music] Oh, [Music] hey. [Music]

  1. If we give up a young player who will be great, I would propose this, someone like Lekkermaki and a4 th rounder for him + a million off our dead cap
