thought Sam Montembealt would play hor France?
The Monty discourse disappoints me sometimes. So many Habs fans only see his weaknesses not his great stats in almost every other category. Every goalie has weaknesses, even Vezina winners.
Mailbag question: there are videos of Laine,Suzuki and Demidov having chemistry in training.
How good could they be together and is there any chance that this is the first line?

Its the quality of the shot location. Cmon, thats basic adavanced stats there.
I think thats one of the best stats to evaluate goalies but as any other stats you have to look at the whole to determine a global picture.

Monty is top three GSAAx – this stat gives us a hint that he's got some awesome skill that will come forward with development and I think Hockey Canada is really doing some great forward thinking by bringing him out at these tournaments right now. I think he would have been at IIHF as well if he hadn't been injured. I get the sense they want him to develop up to an elite goalie or at least they believe he has that potential and I'm here for it.
If it's the goalie from the 2016 Winter Classic, it has to be Mike Condon. I wonder if they mass produced 'sherseys' for a GUY like Mike Condon or if you went and had that made for your own enjoyment.
