CCTV of brothers allegedly ‘assaulting police at Manchester airport’

The moment a police officer had her nose broken during an alleged assault at Manchester Airport has been shown to a jury.

The CCTV footage shown in court on Monday captured two brothers allegedly attacking three police officers.

Mohammed Fahir Amaaz, 20, and Muhammad Amaad, 26, are alleged to have struck out after police were called to an incident at the Starbucks cafe in Terminal 2 on July 23 last year, when Mr Amaaz is said to have headbutted a customer.

Minutes later, three officers – Pc Zachary Marsden and Pc Ellie Cook, who were both armed, and unarmed Pc Lydia Ward – approached the defendants in the terminal car park.

On Monday, a jury at Liverpool Crown Court watched airport camera footage from opposite angles which captured what the prosecution says was a “high level of violence” used by the defendants towards the officers.

  1. Question: WHY does an "armed police officer" carry a gun if they have no intention of using it? It seems pointless to me.

  2. bordel mais ces ra. c. mûres doivent êtres immédiatement incarcérées je plains les 2 femmes policières les coups qu’elles ont pris les pauvres mais que s’est il passé réellement j’ai pas compris 😡😡

  3. Everybody was angry at the police after the first (cut) footage, the media could not shut up about it. Now we have the full footage and now everybody is quiet. BS, the word allegedly is not needed here.

  4. is everyone blind.. the rozzers started the aggression and violence as they always do.. they rammed his head into the vending machine.. this is their standard practice; they are well aware that roughing people up provokes reflex reactions.. their aim is always to escalate a situation in the hope that a minor incident becomes an assault charge.. everything that happened after he was grabbed by the neck was a direct result of the initial assault by the thuggish and idiotic police

  5. both parties are at wrong.

police is clearly incompetent, ultimate goal should be to de-escalate the situation, male cops charges in > grabs head > pushes it down.. way too aggresive and unnecessary imo. Then the other guy comes in trying to stop the aggresive male cop, male cop hits him first.. then it really escalated quickly.. both at wrong..

  6. BACK STORY: Prior to their arrest, the disrespectful mother of the 2 men, was arriving on a plane from Qatar where a South Asian man on her flight told her to be civilized on the plane. When they landed the mother noticed this man in a Starbucks lineup where she pointed the man out to her 2 caveman sons and one of them viscously attacked the man. This is what initially led to the police arrest attempt of the 2 men at the terminal, where officers were subsequently attacked by the men during the arrest process. It a clear case of these 2 brothers and their mother incapable of behaving civilized in the Western world.

  7. Deport these Thugs. Is it true that the mother has been claiming benefits from Pakistan..? So sick of the blatant disrespect

  8. Gotta love how they put "allegedly " when the guy in Blue clearly headbutt someone . That guy knew he was punching police officers

  9. I don't support the two at all but I don't get why the police officer kicked him in the face when he was fully detained and hit the mother

  10. What I see is, poor policing. Not following arrest protocol or policy. Then crying when it hits the fan. Perfectly happy when 'strong arming' people with poor practices though.
Ultimately better policing standards would have avoided this altogeter.
As soon as lock up the culprits they should urgently review both their policing and their staffing.
Having front-line officers that are such a liability jeopardises the safety of both other officers and the general public.

  11. A desktop and a database never broke anyone's face.
I applaud her courage for front-line duty, but she was deluded going into the police force with the expectation she would never have to deal with challenging situations, and dangerous people.

  12. This is a great advertisement to stop putting women on front line policing because of their lack of physical strength (I must admit not to their lack of courage which I find astounding) that male officer could have been killed if it wasn’t for the taser

  13. Mum to blame. If she felt in fear tell airport police not point him out to her crazy son she knew what her son was .like she put her son in the dock

  14. I understand the situation the bloke has headbutted someone and attacked two officers that said when he was on the ground that officer shouldn't have kicked him in the head no need to stoop to that mans level by doing so.
