  1. As a Oilers fan I have mixed feelings about this, sad to see him go we will definitely miss his grit/toughness & his willingness to go to the hard area's to get the puck in order to make plays & get in front of the net to get the greasy goals. Yet I'm happy for him that he finally gets to go home & play in front of his family, friends & fans there. Good luck Kaner except against the Oilers of course. 😂

  2. For me this is not great if it was future considerations or retained salary, maybe. But that money and pick could've been better spent. And, it's not even about if Kane is good or bad it's about need, the Oilers needed to make that move so Vancouver should have taken better advantage of the situation or just let one of the other teams in the mix have him. But I suspect that the other interested teams wanted retained salary or a sweetener.
This is what I'm talking about when I say management not brothers will have more impact on whether or not Quinn stays in Vancouver. So, for Canucks' fans I hope this works out well.

  3. Love it Kane is a tough guy who can score. In his last year of 5.5 mill cost. He will prove 650 guy totaly wrong. Team is much tougher over all. High image guy some people might not like it. Edmonton head no cap to pay their big D. By By Bes and Suter. And also Garland or one other FWD. Foote likes push back guys.

  4. Probably a good move for Vancouver, it only cost them a fourth round pick. They are desparate to get some scoring and toughness up front. A good move cap space wise. They got a lot more work to do, but they are rounding out the roster before the free agency dog fight about to come July 1. These are the kind of moves the Canucks have to make, cuz free agency is going to be a sellers market, just too many teams with a ton of cap space burning a hole in their pockets.

  5. I am ok with this deal. Now get rid of whatever you can from Pettersson's contract. Before July when it's going to handcuff the organization for another 7 years.

  6. Great Video/Update Mike. I'm really surprised. I didn't see it coming at all. The Rangers Or The Chicago Blackhawks had missed out on this.

  7. I don’t understand it? Few years ago he was not good enough or type of character player did not want as a home town boy why now all of a sudden ?

  8. Great Trade for Canucks. He’ll pick up the slack from Boeser loss and bring more dimension the Beoser as well. The hole “toxic character@ thing is over blown. He we a good soldier in Edmonton and well liked in the community and with his teammates.

    Good get for Vancouver.

  9. Kane is a cancer the Canucks should have received a high pick to take this thug. He wears out his welcome from day one.

  10. Evander Kane was a salary cap dump IMHO,he did Okay there, but, it was time for him to go -playing for the hometown team may revitalize him

  11. I'm really disappointed, maybe I'm not right, because my god, I'm just a Canucs fan, but… If Kane is the best the management can do, then I'm more than disappointed, you can even say I'm furious!!! Peterka goes to the Mammoths!!! Kane to the Canucs!!!! A problematic average player is the most you can do?!? I hope for nothing better….
