Loosing Marner is going to help them on the powerplay. Give someone else a F..g chance. You need someone with a shot from the point. Meyers would have been better on the power play instead of Marner in the playoffs. Marner had no shot. The Leaf powerplay last year sucked in the playoffs. BECAUSE MARNER DOES NOT WORK!! WAKE UP!

Karlsson hasn't been a true #1 dman since he was in Ottawa. The Leafs have been burned too many times to count trading for veterans past their prime (Thornton, Marleau, Foligno, etc.); do not do this again. Draft and develop players; that's the key to success.
As for Rielly, and this can apply to Matthews as well, if you're suffering from a nagging injury, take the regular season off to recover and be ready for the playoffs. Both weren't up to snuff in the playoffs this past season and it killed us, especially Matthews not scoring at his usual pace. It could be said that Matthews hasn't elevated his play to the next level in the playoffs but if he's hurt forget it; the team has no chance.
I have no problem giving Rielly another shot next season; he's been a stalwart for the team and I'm not willing to throw him out with the bathwater for one poor season. If he doesn't improve next season then we can talk about moving him.

Karlsson played in the 4 Nations tournament. He was one of the first six players named to Sweden's roster and he was in their top four. If he's healthy and doesn't eat up too much cap, he's worth the risk. He was super elite.
