Florida can't afford it. Carolina needs a Russian goalie and the Panthers picked up another from the same city as Bob. Tampa Bay also has a Russian goalie. What does that tell you?
It’s not a question of money, it’s why would we bother bringing in Burns 2.0 at this point?
I think the only way they go after EK is if PIT retains 50% on salary and even then, I think they’d rather go for another piece as well. For example, I firmly believe they’re keeping an eye on the Crosby situation and I could see them throwing futures and a couple of roster players out for both in a single transaction.
This is never gonna happen the canes have no need for a guy that plays zero defense.
If it doesn’t come from Elliot, I wouldn’t believe it. Doubtful that Carolina would trade Ghost for EK. Pittsburgh needs better centers so maybe there is an opportunity for one of my favorite players to have a fresh start though Eric isn’t considering moving their core guys.
