Dach hasn’t been cleared medically so not getting traded until he clears 😳
The Ducks need an offensive D since they lost Cam Fowler last year. Matheson would fit that bill plus add another forward and a draft pick and throw in Price since they have lots of cap space to play with. That may be enough to get McTavish
As I said many times it will cost Slaf. We just got Bolduc from a trade who is a similat type of player than Slaf but with a better scoring touch imo. Hope you guys are joking when you said Dach. Oh and people who are trading our leftovers while throwing a pick in there that just won't happen. Telling you the discussion starts with Slaf or there's no deal. Two young talented kids NHL ready.
Trading Dach at a low point makes no sense unless Anaheim accepts him at full value. So, a deal like Dach + + + would be terrible. A deal like Dach + a pick would be ok because it says Dach is also an excellent player and we’ll give you a pick too to make up for his injury status. Otherwise, for McTavish one could look at Matheson + Kapanen + a pick. Basically, a proven guy that can help them, a solid prospect with a bit of decent NHL tape and something else. Trading Newhook is a terrible idea – he’s better than McTavish (and I love McTavish).
7 years at $9.5 million makes some sense to me. That way Hutson gets the same money as Dobson until both contracts expire in 2033. Hutson would then be able to sign another long-term deal (6 or 7 years) at age 29 for presumably even more money, while Dobson would likely be looking at a pay cut or a shorter term deal.
An 8 year deal should be $10.5 million at most, and that would be a player-friendly deal imo.
Bouchard – who was drafted four years before Hutson – just signed a four year deal at that number despite having taken a very team-friendly bridge deal and proving himself over multiple deep playoff runs.
Dahlin – also drafted four years before Hutson and who just last year signed the largest contract by a defenceman drafted in the 2010s thus far – only received $11 million over 8 years.
8 years at $10 million is probably around fair value, while 8 years at $9.5 million to match Dobson would be team-friendly. $9 million would be a steal.
I think, Newhook and Dack can be partt of that trade. For any of them you would have to ad à very valuable player. I heard they would like a right D. Carrier would be a choice but I don't like it.
McTavish in exchange for Matheson, Newhook and a first round?
AHL players draft pics for the Mac
Dach and Matheson for McT.
You start with laine and engstrom/Josh Anderson/matheson and 1 rd
Relax.
How about availability.
We all know that someone will get him with his head down.
In between Suzuki and Dobson.
8,5 an 9,
Hutson will be the highest paid player on the team and for good reason, he a superstar and will be paid as one. It's not my money, so PAY THE GUY! 😀
why would you want lane hutson to make team America? his agent will leverage stuff like that to demand more money. weird.
Want clicks? Use CAPS in the title.
Wtf? Wait until he proves himself. Might have been a one off, no matter how unlikely. Crazier things have happened. He could injure out. Too much, too soon never a good bet.
Mctavish would require no less than 1) Reinbacher 2) Laine (to make money work) 3) Hage or a 1st.
I'm legit unsubscribing from your channel because it's so annoying how you constantly mispronounce Logan Mailloux's name especially when you constantly talk about him in Just about every video and said it right a few times recently only to go back again to mispronouncing it. For the last time it's May-u, not my-u
22K and counting! Keep up the good work!
Dobson is 6'4" and 200 pounds. From 2022-24, he averaged 57 points per season. with a net +13. Before signing Hutson for a lot of money on a longterm deal, I'd like to see how he does through at least the first half of next season. He has stated repeatedly he wants to continue playing in Montréal. If so, he should take a bridge deal of $4M or a team-friendly longterm deal around $7-$8M. Better to proceed with caution, given his smaller and therefore more injury prone build. Dobson can play a physical game and gritty when needed, Hutson can't.
Hutson will not get 10 million a year he will get something similar to Slaf prorated to new cap. Like 8.25-8.5
What about Liane, Hage, Fowler and 2 x 1st's for McTavish? Too much? Too little?
The Habs must trade for McTavish: a 2C who is a left shot and has a higher FO% than either Newhook or Dach, plus has improved over the last 3 seasons. I'd offer Roy, Matheson, Dach,, plus a second round pick in 2026. If they don't want Dach, I'd offer Newhook instead. If McTavish (or the Ducks) wanted him to stay with Anaheim, he would have signed by now.
Would like to see FX on the 4th line, and we need AX on D. Imagine them playing together! But FX probably needs to spend at least the first half of the year in Laval
Unfortunately i think we d need to give up Hage as the main piece . Plus probably Matheson then Dach as a throw in . Its a lot but a fair deal
It's a good thing your viewers aren't management. Some want to give Matheson, Dach and a first round pick for a 3rd line center with 52 points. The reason Mctavish is so highly rated is because the Habs need a guy like him. The Ducks need an offensive dman. So, any general manager worth anything would offer Matheson and a pick to compensate for Mike's age. Anything more just doesn't make sense. Before trading anyone, they need to look at what they have already. Kapanen, Beck, Dach, Newhook, Xhekaj will all get good looks in camp. In the meantime, it depends on what the Ducks want.
It would hurt but Reinbacher, Harris or Roy & 1st Round Pick 2025 or Kapanen, Dach or Newhook. 2 prospects and a NHL player for McTavish.
dach matheson and a pick or two
