The Panthers kept their word by re-signing almost every member of the 2025 Cup winning roster who was on an expiring contract.

  1. Panthers need to win at least a 3rd cup before being considered a dynasty. They have everything they need to win and with that core still intact. This team could win the cup every year.

  2. I'd argue that they already are now. In the Hard Cap era AND a 32 team league now this counts as a dynasty. Hate them all you want, que the Florida and ice jokes etc, but you cannot deny their success.

  3. I'll stop watching hockey entirely if the Panthers win their third cup. Please god no

Good video though Shannon, thanks for posting

  4. Tkachuk… no word on IF he needs surgery. It's so late in the off season that IF he needs surgery he will be out half the year at the least, so no salary cap problem till then. IF he doesn't need surgery the most likely to be traded is the 3 million cap of Evan Rodrigues.

  5. You can argue they are a dynasty now.

However I still think Florida is the best team to date in the salary cap era.

  6. All their players can do something without the puck, hit or backcheck. I wish i could say that about my team

  7. Florida fully understanding that Gary’s league is a joke when it comes to officiating and taking full advantage of that. Kudos to them.

  8. Favourites to threepeat. Unless they get riddled with injuries to key players late in the season, I don't see anyone stronger than them right now.

  9. That's my biggest complaint about current hockey. There are no more dynasties. Sports are always better, when there is one great team that everyone is trying to defeat, than 10 years in a row of 10 different champions. The closest we've had to a dynasty, since the eighties is the blackhawks three cups in 10, 13, and 15

  10. If you say you're a dynasty might just jinx you in losing first round ask Tampa for this!! Lol 👍

  11. Its ok to call something "great" when its great, and not always "pretty good".
Same as when people say, "arguably one of the…" When referring to someone who is *clearly, not "arguably".
I hate the hedging of all things.

  12. If somehow we get another rematch in the finals and edm loses to fla again I’ll go start watching soccer. That’s how pissed I’ll be.

  13. It feels unlikely to me that the Panthers will play the entire year without Tkachuk. Even if he starts on LTIR, it just postpones the issue of having to trade players (likely Rodrigues+Boqvist). I fully expect that to happen at some point, at which point Mackie slots right in on that second line most likely.

Also you forgot Puljujarvi on the depth, he actually looked really good with the Panthers. I'm also excited to see if Benning can get any NHL ice time yet.
