Last Minute Blues Podcast | Jake Neighbours Interview
Blues forward Jake Neighbours joins the guys to talk about his offseason, growing up in Edmonton, his training regime, this Blues team and other fun topics.
I love Jake Neighbours. His involvement with the Deaf Community and his use of ASL on his line of hats is a real indicator of his class. This is not a "shot" at him, but, it sounds like he's in a concrete room. (Would have been more enjoyable if there were some "softer surfaces" in the room to kill the echo.)
As for who should wear the C frankly I’m not sure Robert or Colton should wear the C. Colton is too quiet and Robert doesn’t have that presence like Schenn or O’Reilly. Frankly I’m not sure who should wear it if and when Schenn leaves.
Neighbors is a good dude with a lot of heart, it seems. Glad he plays for the Blues and I hope we keep him around for a very long time. Plays the type of hockey that the Blues need and isn't afraid to throw down if need be. They weren't wrong when they introduced him as a fan favorite. Very good addition to this team and has so much potential. Lets go Blues!
Everything about Jake screams "Blues Hockey." That's why he's so very much loved. It's what I want to see in all the guys. If Brayden hangs up his skates it would be a toss up for me between Thomas and Neighbours to get Captain. But… I need all of them. Gonna be fun to see how the team comes together this season. It's looking pretty damn good. I'm gonna miss Bolduc just as much as anyone in STL but I trust Doug. LGB!
I've done just as Jake says when I've bumped into a Blues player or coach. I saw Binnington the day after we lost game 7 to the Jets in a little cafe standing in line to order. He was right in front of me so I couldn't help myself and I just quietly said he was fantastic as always and left it at that. I've been to this same cafe and seen several celebs and the folks there treat them with respect and leave them alone–I just couldn't help myself with Jordan.

My buddy used to call those jack in the box tacos crack tacos lol
Correction at the end. O’ Reilly was not the captain of a Stanley cup winner.
Good man, honest player(brings his skills every night). that's what we want as fans. Proud to have a new Neighbour!

Donny, O'Reilly was NOT the Captain of a Cup-winning team. It was still Petro at the time. Kinda odd how often people misremember that.

Wasn't Alex Pietrangelo the captain of the Stanley cup team?
This kid will be our next captain in a few years. Has the work ethic and personality for it
