    I think there are very few guys that are 'untouchables'. They clearly need one if not two much more mobile, skilled, and better all-around defenders than what they have. They need to seriously think about Mitch Marner (a career point-per-game playoff guy on the frikken Leafs with a bunch of lifeless duds) , because it's been very evident all season long that they don't have enough guys who can really create and finish, they have a lot of good bottom 6 guys. As much as goal tending didn't lose the series, it also didn't win them any games, they need to take a stab at an elite goalie. Edit: I'll say it now, there is no chance McDavid is leaving a team that made back-to-back finals and is in a position to contend again next year with a much improved team given the right transactions.

    If you look at the greats
    Lemieux won every cup final he went too
    Gretzky won 4 of 6, loss the first time he went early in his career and then loss after his legacy was cemented
    Crosby one cup finals loss early in career, won it the next year, won 2 later
    Messier won 6 of 7
    Howe lost twice in 2nd and 3rd years of career, won 4 later
    Lindstrom played 92-12, won it 4 times with loses in 95 and 09
    All of these players either lost it early in their career or late after already winning some, none of them with 2 loses in their only appearances in year 10! Of their career

    McDavid needs to go to an American team!! Canadian management of our clubs is deplorable!! The fact Nurse gets 9.5 Million while we scramble to get scraps around McDavid is disgusting!! I rather McD go to the panthers than stay here and lose!!!!!

    Now do I think a team paying Mcdavid 14-15 drai 14, bouch 9-11, nurse 9.25 can actually win shit? I’m far more depressed about that thought.

    McDavid will sign with the Oilers but it won't be 8 years. He'll sign for 3-5 years to give himself an out in the Oilers implode.

    You know who needs to exit the Oilers? Age. So many old farts who just ran out of gas in the finals. No, I'm not talking about Perry, but at 41? I think it's safe to say, he won't pull off another magic performance like he had these playoffs.

    Always loved Perry as a player, and wanted him on this team, 15 years ago. I appreciate the efforts he's put in, and he'll always be one of my favs, but……. there's no place for him on this roster next season, imo.

    Henrique. Same thing. Gotta go.

    Ekholm. His best years, are over, he's in rapid decline.

    Kane. He's far from a young buck, and though he was well rested from taking the entire season off, he quickly ran out as well.

    The list goes on. Goaltending. Blow it up. Goaltending coach. Enough, is beyond enough at this point. F the nepotism, and get a real goaltending coach.

    GM. "Goaltending is good enough" Gone.

    Coach. Looked like a kid playing NHL 25 in the finals. Gone. Idgaf that he got to the finals twice. He's the Pete DeBoer of the finals.

    Depth scoring. Clean house.

    This team traded away future, for what they put on the ice in that finals series. The Oilers, are in bigger trouble than people realize yet.
