Hughes is a literal beast on skate. His skating ability is out of this world with how he is fluid on them. His inside-out move is really working well against defenders and to be added he is very good defensively. I’m very hype to see him play with his brother at the NHL level!

Is he a D or actually a forward? what coach would really allow his D to play this way? First time he dangles on a blue line and loses the puck, he will be benched. Please comment. Thx
He's got everything except an NHL caliber shot.
yall seen lane hutson
nice skating and puck control but cant shoot and dont know when to make a pass
I was at the Michigan, Lake State game. Luke played great both night.
So is this the new norm for Defensemens ? Just wondering. I’m use to Defensemens actually playing defense first. It’s almost like they put these offensive guys on defense.
Lane Hutson looks way better wayy more dynamic than Hughes in my humble opinion
if this kid can figure out the finishing like his brothers hes top notch thats forsure
how come players like lane hutson has more points in less games than him?
Nothing happened in these highlights. He generally kept the puck to himself and the play/zone time died as soon as he shot it. His shot also looks weak. I'm surprised he was drafted #4. The other top 5 are already in the NHL. Edvinsson and Clarke have had time and are now in the AHL. This guy is as close as Bruno Caboclo was. The Top D from 2022 already look to be ahead as well. I'm sure he will get a shot but he is not the best prospect on D
He's got 2 goals in 12 games. So he's going to be a lot like Quinn. That's the best defenseman prospect in the world? LOL.
He is so long, Range-yesque and when he drives through the neutral zone you often don't even anticipate how fast he is going until he's blown by you. Those long strides/crossovers are deadly. He leaves defenders frozen and before you know it he's bringing high octane pressure to the front of your net. This kid is unreal spooky good and effective
What is it with the Hughes and 43? Quinn is 43 Luke is 43 and Jack is 43×2.
As if NJD needed to get any better rn
Kid has huge strides for his age
He needs to learn to pass a lil more. Once he does that it’s game over for everyone else on the opposing team
AMAZING SKILLS BUT ALL THOSE MOVES AND NO FINISH
Lane hutson is better but is a good def
To me, Lane Hutson is the best defenseman prospect in the world.
Lane Hutson is putting up more impressive numbers on the 2nd d pairing and 2nd power play unit as a freshman..
Calgary would love him we need a top tier defenceman
Call Swedish no finish
Outside of his spina ram a on the blue line I don’t really see anything earth shattering about his play.
Why is nobody talking about lane Hutson?
Have you heard about Aron Kiviharju. Better, younger, and more handsome 😁
don't know why people are bringing up Lane hutson,
Lane Hutson
17pts in 14 games
-Small
-2nd pairing and not facing the other teams top line the majority of the time
Luke Hughes
-39pts in 41 games last year
-Is his teams top paring RD
-17 pts in 18 games
-has stated that he's focusing on defence this year
-His coach is using him more defensively because they don't have Owen Power this year.
Hughes is in a totally different stratosphere compared to Hutson
If you want to compare Hutson to anyone then compare him to Seamus Casey who is also small and having a very comparable season to Hutson.
Smooth, with amazing vision!
devils already coming into their own and nemec luke and holtz havent even made the team yet😮💨
Too bad hell never be able to lace Dahlins Jockstrap
The chance of capturing Bigfoot on camera are better than catching Hughes making a pass on video!
Turns out Quinn was the worst of the trio and Vancouver selected him lol
skating and agility or above average that's for sure, kid's vision and finishing abilities are his weak point, averega power and accuracy, but it's an easy aspect to work on
Got everything, but can’t make a shot?
first 2 words that came to my mind were: Bobby and Orr..
literally looks like his brother quinn
Unreal! 6"2 and skates just like his brother quinn!
post another one
This guy deserve more follower! Love you Tc
Such an aggressive style. Do you plug this 19 year old onto a playoff roster, or is he going to cause odd man rushes against until he figures it out?
I hope he does WAY better than this playing with the Devil's.. all these shots and no goals doesn't impress me. Really hoping he wasn't picked because he's Jack's brother.
