Guerin is such a douche
Why would Kirill sign a longer term if the salary cap will keep going up, his value stays the same if his contract stays the same. Also this shows distrust in Bill Guerin's ability to bring in Stanley Cup Competetive players to fill in this roster! And as I told Denny, maybe he doesn't agree in Hynes' sight…
Many factors are likely at play there.
I certainly hope that Craig Leopold will take a serious look at Bill Guerin, he don't develop players in Iowa, he trades them away which i don't believe the return has been significant, Kaprizov is looking at a team that doesn't exactly look like a serious Stanley cup contender.
Boldy's contract represented 8.3% of the cap when he signed. If the Wild gave Rossi the same 7m contract, it would only represent 7.3% of the cap. So though the yearly AAV is the same, the percentage of the cap at the time of signing shows Boldy got "more" of the pie at the time. I think 7m x 3years is the sweet spot. Rossi can continue to keep proving people wrong and the Wild don't have to commit long term to him for all the chicken littles that keep crying about his size (and yet he continues to deliver).
I think Gus' next contract is more intriguing than Rossi and/or Kirill. Kirill is getting paid, and Rossi isn't, done and done. What will Gus get…..!?!?!?!

I like kaprizov alot but he can’t stay healthy. I’d take draisaitl any day over him. He’ll play the whole season and playoffs. But I agree the Wild don’t appear to be a Stanley cup team anyway
