While we knew the deal was in place awhile ago it became official on Tuesday, July 1st when Winnipeg was able to officially register the contract they had agreed to with three-time Stanley Cup champion and Winnipegger Jonathan Toews. Today he spoke for the first time as a member of the Jets as did head coach Scott Arniel and GM Kevin Cheveldayoff.

He had his day in Chicago, the Jets will never go anywhere they just lost future player in ehlers. Canadian cities just don’t get it, the USA runs the League 😮
Next signing, Eddie Olcyk, then Thomas Steen will come back. I️ hear they are in talks with the guy that used to scalp tickets every game outside the old Winnipeg Arena……
I’m a Hawks fan, but I’m so happy to see my man toews playing again. He’s a beast and a winner. So he will bring that to the jets . I think he will give them that leadership to get over the hump they had in previous years. I’m rooting for the jets this upcoming year. Of course not against my Hawks.
This is what happens when you take the jab. Not allowed to talk about it I guess
And next season as always Winnipeg and Connor Hellebuyck will disappear in the playoffs. Soft franchise that will never accomplish anything in the playoffs.
Welcome home, Captain. Go Jets Go!! 🥹🛫
I cried watching this 😢welcome home Jonathan ❤ can’t wait to see you you play ❤❤❤
Looks pretty freaking fit to me, let’s go JT welcome home
Too old, and will destroy the jets chemistry.
Toews very selfish
Jesus Christ, I didn’t realize how much I missed this man. The truest hockey player.
What a class act! As a Jets fan from Grand Forks, ND, I’m thrilled for Jets fans to have the best player Manitoba ever produced (sorry, Bob Clarke) come back home.
WICKED!!!! WELCOME BACK CANADIAN BOY 🇨🇦
You don’t mess with Jonathan Toews.
VGK fan here, I wish nothing but the best for JT. Seems like a good dude.
Atleast he’s back in the province and his next step should be to run for premier. We need a legit none-woke appointed leader. And with the name Toews, he’s the man for the job. He has honest values and would make Manitoba a great place to live.
I’m pulling for him. Great memories of seeing him play my Kings.
So happy for him ❤ stay healthy
JT is not a young man anymore. I wish him the best in Winnipeg.
As a Blackhawk fan since '85, I wish Jonathan nothing but the best. Obviously Chicago is going nowhere this year, so rooting for Winnipeg to go the distance this year!
the Chicago fans are mad now after this happened to JT
Hat trick on hat night was quite the memory. Best of luck Tazer! and thanks for the cups, still think it could have been 5 tho.
Good luck Tazer! Thanks for all you did as a Hawk!
