This team will be better than last years version. Blackwood/Vanacek can’t be as bad as last years carousel of goalies. Blackwood being healthy will be key of course. Marino will strengthen the D considering he actually is good in his own end unlike Severson who has been atrocious in that regard. A top s4 of Siegenthaler, Hamilton, Graves and Marino is an upgrade on last season. Hamilton also missed a ton of time with injury last season and as long as he stays healthy will have a solid bounce back season. Bratt had 70+ pts last year and will be playing for a contract again, so I expect similar numbers. Hughes if healthy is a lock for 90+ pts imo. Nico has been developing into a two way beast and we’re starting to see his bc production turn up. Definitely not out of the question for him to get 65-75 points. Zacha and the devils benefit from the trade too. He never developed consistency. He has a ton of skill and can look amazing, but will lose confidence and disappear for huge stretches. Haula will fit well in the bottom six. Palat gives them a guy with winning experience and he can really benefit the younger crew. Too much money on the deal maybe? Solid addition still though. Best case scenario is a bubble team that can maybe sneak in if all goes according to plan. I don’t expect that to happen at all but I believe this team will at least be a competitive group.
