I wouldn't call it a bad decision to fight Feds, I really don't see him as a fighting type. To me, Hedman looked like a bully who didn't know how to react when someone finally stood up to him. He maybe gets 2 mediocre punches in then Feds takes him down.
Except the fact that Feds didn't take Hedman down, but what really happen was Hedman's left foot got taken out by the scrum behind him and ends up elbowing dropping the referee's back.
Cry all you want about it, the fact remains, Fedetenko, a non-combatant, whooped his hindside. If you're building a hockey tough guy resume, this is a really bad start!
