I agree with Jay that it's too soon to pull the plug on Reichel. He changed up his offseason training, and it's worth seeing how that, and the new coaching staff might help him actually reach his potential.
Iām disappointed in Jay early in this episodeā¦ gave Bowman WAY too much credit thinking he could get all the way to āGā when reciting the alphabet
The hawks system is strong next seasons draft I would be willing to sell your next 3 first round picks and 2 2nd round pick to get number 1 in the draft because if you get the number 1 pick next season your set for a long time to come with the guys we got
Where can the Hawks put Reichel to maximize his potential? The answer is… on another team. He's had 4 long years to show he's a solid NHL winger and nothing has materialized. A trade would benefit the Hawks and Reichel. If it was going to happen here, we would have seen evidence of it by now.
Say you had one roster spot left starting the season 2025/26 and you have Reichel, Dach, or Slaggert. All 3 players 22 yrs old, all 3 make about 1 mil.
