  1. It is BIZARRE seeing the Pens have this much cap space. You definitely give Geno a contract if he wants one. He’s earned it.

  2. IF he Harrison has a camp like last years…can we really send him back down??? Or is EVERYTHING about a year from now???….as far as MALKIN goes..I believe opportunities were missed to replace him..Trochek…or Zagras..I think it would serve MALKIN better & the team better to bring in a real #2 Center…to replace him..to relieve him..make him a wing…I can't see going further than this year

  3. Since the Pens are rebuilding and have a number of exciting prospects in the system, would you consider periodically, maybe once a month, doing a show with updates on them during the regular season? Tks!

  4. Letang, Pickering, Brunicke, Clifton, Karlsson, and Alexeyev should be our starting defensive corps. I doubt we get a deal done with EK, considering his demands to go to a contender. Hopefully, our new coaching staff can help fix a majority of our issues on the back end.

  5. I like the word stunted. I assume Hockey is like all other pro sports with player development working to add another gear. That's one of the problems that has occurred with football. I see these monsters coming out of colleges that are maxed and worn out before they are drafted.

  6. Brunicke should be on the ice this season, we need defense. Once again I'm excited to see these young men play. Thank you DK, Great show.

  7. Unless Brunicke regresses hard theres no point in putting him in the WHL. He'd be better developing up here and the pens have nothing to lose in keeping him up here

  8. DK – I'm a bit confused and maybe just not seeing the forest through the trees. I was under the impression Dubas' plan was to create a situation where the kids can earn a spot and if need-be, send vets down if he can't move them. With that said, Dubas signed quite a few players leaving little, if any room for other young players like Hallander or Hayes to win spots. I get he can send those newly signed players down, but doesn't this just muddy the process?

  9. DK – One more question… When will they change the AHL rules to allow players like Brunicke to make the jump? To me this rule profoundly affects player development. You stated the dangers of sending him back, so the only other option is the NHL where they could potentially rush his development. Brunicke would benefit immensely from a full season in WBS.

  10. Great episode…agree with Burnicke, he's ready for the show, there is no value I don't think in the W…and agree with Malkin….not a lot better than him at 2C

  11. Pretty sure the plan for this year is to not be very good so u can get one of the next superstars. Letting this kid get big minutes in the whl makes more sense than being a third pairing defense on a team that isn’t very good in my opinion.

  12. I really hope he gets at least a 9 game tryout, I think he’s showing he’s capable of playing now.
